Chapter 7 - Fan Reactions

Me and Shawn had a brief text conversation this morning when I was getting changed and we discussed all about the fan reactions from our photo that we posted last night but it didn't help that Aaliyah also posted a photo of us whilst we were asleep, although it did look adorable and both me and Shawn saved it.

Shawn - Good morning about last night I'm sorry for the fans reaction 🙈 xxx

Me - Morning, it's okay I mean obviously the fans have the right to react this way as they've never seen us together before xxx

Shawn - I suppose so but it was awful, I've deleted some of the comments but please don't read what they're saying ❤️xxx

Me - That's going to be the hardest part but they shouldn't see me as a threat as I'm best friends with Aaliyah and I'm on her social medias xxx

Shawn - Exactly but that won't stop them sending hate, however we can say we're only friends because that's not lying to them xxx

Me - Didn't realise you came up with smart ideas Mendes 😂 xxx

Shawn - Shut up y/n I have my moments of genius 👨🏻‍🎓you're just never here to see them xxx

Me - Shawn I gotta get ready I need to fix my face and sort out my clothes but we'll talk after school or something xxx

Shawn - You shouldn't fix anything you're pretty perfect as you are right now 💋 xxx

Me - Real smooth Mendes 😂👌🏻xxx

Shawn - That's how I role y/s/n 💁🏻‍♂️xxx

When walking to the Shawn's car I notice Aaliyah walk ahead of me and Shawn leaving us alone which was strange since we would always walk next to each other. But when we walked to the car she jumps straight into the backseat leaving the front available which isn't like her normal self since she would always fight for the front. Instead of sitting with Shawn I choose to sit with Aaliyah in the back, this earned me weird looks from the Mendes siblings.

During the car ride Aaliyah had control of the AUX cable and blasted out Hands To Myself by Selena Gomez.

I played out Anywhere by Rita Ora, we were both in our element even if we weren't singing the correct notes. I'm just glad Shawn was focusing on driving or he would be videoing us right now and post it all over the internet. Which would be so embarrassing.

Meanwhile I was scrolling through Instagram looking at the fans comments, I just couldn't stay away from what they we're saying some were nice but others were harsh.

Seeing PerksOfMendes's comment made me smile and I immediate like her comment and follow her. I sent her a DM which got a huge freak out, shes made my day and I've made hers. When we stop at the traffic lights I get a notification saying Shawn also likes her comment and follows her now.
