~Y/N's POV~
I was walking down the hall as it was lunch time. Suddenly B/F/N asked
"So....you going to prom with anyone?"
"Well.... No one asked me yet but..." I trailed off as my eyes found their way towards a certain H/C boy, who's sitting in a table alone, it was in the furthest corner of the cafeteria. He was reading a book and no one seemed to mind him. B/F/N followed my gaze. He was also the same boy I liked ever since I first saw him..... which was just the first day of school.. since he just transferred.
"Wait.. you want to go with him!? Isn't he like.. very anti-social?" B/F/N said in shock. I shushed her
"Ah! Be quiet!" I said. She laughed
"Okay... but.. how are you going to get him to ask you?" She asked
"I... don't know..." I sighed, then suddenly I got an idea
"What if I sit with him? Like.... you can finally go and sit with (BFF's crush's name). I mean didn't he ask you out?" I said sending her a teasing smile. She blushed and gave me a thumbs up and went to her crush. That girl...
I walked towards C/N and cleared my throat. He looked at me confused
"Ummm.. can I sit here...?" I asked shyly.
"O-okay..." he stuttered. Awww so cute!
I took a seat
"Thanks! I'm Y/N, Y/N L/N." I introduced myself. He nodded
"I know.. we're in the same classes as each other.. well most of them..." He said quietly, but I heard. He looked uneasy
"Umm.. C/N.... are you... uncomfortable with me sitting here? Cuz... I can leave if you want me to..." I sighed. He shook his head
"N-no! It's not like that... I'm just not used to having anyone sit with me... let alone talk to me..." he sighed, I nodded understanding
"Oh okay..." I replied, 'this is gonna be harder than I thought'
"Y/N?" His soothing voice called out.
"Yeah?"
"W-why did you sit with me?" He asked
"Cuz....." I thought of an excuse. "B/F/N sat with (Bestfriend's crush name)...I had no one to sit with and I saw you......." I lied. He looked kinda disappointed. And I realized what I just said.
"—I also wanted to get to know you..." I said, he looked up and smiled a bit. AM I SEEING THINGS RIGHT!?
"I see.. what do you want to know?" He asked. 'If you're single.'
"If you're going to prom...?" I said. He looked to be in deep thought
"Um.. maybe? I don't know..." He replied. "Are you going?" He asked
