Nandini's fear

Manik is standing near main entrance of college waiting for Nandini
At last she came with piya. Manik stopped them.
"Good morning sir" they both salute him as it's rule in college when ever juniors come across seniors till freshers party.
He nodded looked at Nandini. She is wear a blue jeans white crop top made some hairstyle which even left loose. Wear flats not heels. He measured her height with him she got confused. "Just to my heart" he exclaimed
Again started to check her face which is bent as usual. Eyes looking down no make up not even kajal and lipgloss. After he satisfied checking her, he turned towards piya
"Tell me about her"
Piya looked at him seriously was about to say something Manik again said in stern tone
"I am senior. Manik Malhotra, so only answer to my question"
Piya already heard about him, that he is minister's grand son, even dean mentioned that he is basketball champion. "She is Nandini Murthy, state 7th rank medical entrance, she is scared of anything new she don't talk unless it's needed. Dad has a small business, only child. I am only her friend" she said in one go
" Any nick name??? Why I don't know I don't want to call her with this name, not the which you call"
Piya kept a grumpy face "Pihu, her parents call her"
"Pihu" Manik smiled "good"
Manik looked at Nandini "Pihu! Look at me" his voice was dominating
Nandini with slight shiver looked at him.
"Good from now on you will look at me while I am talking, and answer me properly"
"Yes sir" her voice was so soft
"Hmm! While going home meet me and go" he ordered.
She nodded. Piya kept irritating face
"Answer me properly"
Nandini looked at him, her eyes are blinking with fear "Yes sir"
"Where can we find you? Our last bus will be just ten mins after our class so" piya said
"I will be in basketball ground near your class so come there."
Both said "yes sir again"
"Bye Pihu" Manik smiled
Nandini tried to smile "Bye"
Manik came to class.
Cabir and Mukthi are in class. Manik took his seat beside Cabir

"So??? Work done?" Mukthi started
"Why am I missing like hell?"
"Missing?" Cabir arched his eyebrows
"Yes Cabir, I just want to be there with her all time"
"Do one thing" Manik looked at him with full anticipation and happiness "go to dean office write a letter stating your problem and request him to demote you to first year then sit with her" Cabir in serious tone
"Yah!!!! It's better" Manik got up and took two steps when Cabir's words registered his mind he stopped. Mukthi and Cabir started laughing like hell
"Saala!!!! You are finished" Cabir hugged him
"No it's just attraction Cabir" Manik is trying hard to convince them but his own voice has ditched him as it didn't show the confidence which it is supposed to show
"Manik accept it. But don't be impatient" Mukthi hugged him
"I have to figure it out myself" Manik hugged her back
"Bharath milap hogaya??? Concentrate on work we have submission"
Both kicked him.

Manik is in Basketball ground. Game is his passion. Cabir call it as obsession. Since he know himself his game is with him. Till today all time records as winning championships not even a single defeat he faced. Same way bike. He is too possessive about his bike. People who know Manik will definitely knows his weakness's at very first glance. That doesn't mean they can defeat him. He is tough nut to crack.

Nandini and piya are standing near the pitch. Manik and gang are seriously playing game. Manik had a basket, ball is grabbed by other team, the one with long nose is throwing ball it missed and ball rushed towards girls, piya who noticed dragged Nandini to her left side. Manik came near them in one jump took the ball before it touches them.

Manik's heart is beat marthon as he was playing from an hour or May be the fact that the ball might have hurt Nandini. He is gasping.
"Are you fool? Can't you see it's playing ground? You may get injured?"
Nandini eyes are blinking fast "sorry" a small voice filled with regret and fear
Manik ruffles his hair "Ok! Go home safely"
Both turned back but again turned their heads said at a time "bye sir"

For one week Nandini and piya's daily routine is wish Manik morning and evening. Where ever he might be how ever he might be me.
Thought Manik want to see Nandini and spend little time with her talking random topics, it became annoying day by day. It went to heights today

Manik came out of washroom, Nandini and piya standing there. He was hell shocked and annoyed. He walked towards them, they both shouted "bye sir" that's it for Manik
"What hell are you thinking? Do you have brain or did you sell it for books?? How could you pihu??? Can't you see I need some space??? It's gents washroom, how could you?"Manik shouted
Nandini eyes filled with fear, she jerked once. She held piya's hand tight and turned back ran from there.
Manik startled. Guilt over powered him.

Manik took his bike from parking and crossed college. When he was crossing near by bus stop his eyes widened, mind blocked, anger
bloomed, he just parked near by and came running.

A man of late 20s is about to touch Nandini's waist, Manik held his wrist and twisted so hard that it's turned blue. The man is shouting like hell. One more man who is standing near by came to hit Manik, but he kicked that man with his elbow that man nose started bleeding.

Nandini is crying. Manik when looked at left the man's hand he too ran away.
Piya came to Manik and shouted "it's all because of you Sir, if we didn't wasted our time in finding in college and reached on time we wouldn't have missed our bus, they wouldn't have spoke ugly about Nandu, you might be seniors, but we are slaves"
Manik rubbed his face, "stop crying" he shouted
Nandini who was crying stopped in fear
"She shouted, why don't you? It's my fault I know then why don't you shout instead of crying? I like burn all this universe, when you just look at me with this fear, why don't you understand??? It's my fault piya I am sorry. Do one thing bring me lunch from tomorrow, come to canteen we will eat together. You Pihu! Will you bring lunch for me?" Manik is looking at her to read her
"Yes sir" she said with teary eyes
"My god those eyes, if again you cry, I will kiss you right here right now" Manik wishpered
Nandini in one jump ran back of piya to hide
Manik smiled.
"Educate your dumb friend, piya. Pihu you know cooking?"
Nandini nodded no
Manik smiled. Bus arrived. All departed
