MARLY
I crash into the virtual barriers. The car shakes, making my body bump around. "It's good you don't drive race cars," Daniel jokes. "Don't judge me, this is my first time. Give me some time and I will be better than you... Well maybe not better then you, but better than this." He laughs. It's so catchy, still after hearing it many times. "Let me help you," Daniel says, when I struggle getting out of the car. I don't know how he does this so easy. This is our fourth date. It was his turn to choose something that is really like him. Last date we did some really me. "I liked it." "You did?" He asks a little insecure. "Not so insecure." I give him a quick kiss on his lips. "Now it's your turn, show me what you got," I challenge him. "Alrighty." He smiles and takes a seat in the car. I take my curly hair out of the messy bun, that I made before I stepped into the simulator. Hopefully the curls aren't too much deformed.
Daniel opens the door to his apartment. This is the first time I will be at his apartment, he has been at mine a couple of times. "It's not as cosy as yours but it's something." He lets me go in first. The apartment is bigger than mine for sure. "Take a seat." He points at the couch. I sit down on the couch. "You definitely have the best view." It looks amazing. It's not that I don't have a view, but his is prettier. "Want something to drink?" "A water is fine." I look around. He has allot of helmets. You can see that a man lives his. He hands me a glass of water and sits down next to me. "I liked it today." He rests his arm on my shoulder. "You did?" He is still surprised. I'm not really a girly girl, I love playing video games. "Yeah, getting to know you even more. I enjoyed the simulator." I smile thinking back. "Yeah you were bad." He is also smiling. Fake mad I look at him and give him a soft push. What makes me spill my water on my pants. "Shit." Daniel chuckles. "Karma is a bitch." But he was speaking the truth I was really bad.

My legs are tight around his body, he struggles walking to his bedroom. "Sorry," he says through the kiss, when I hurt my elbow at the doorframe. He always makes these stupid mistakes and it's so funny. Carefully he lays me down on his bed. I watch him, leaning on my elbows, as he takes off his shirt and his six-pack appears. His back makes me even weaker. He gets closer, his eyes are filled with lust. He pushes me backwards. My phone starts ringing. "Wait." I stop him, before his lips touch mine. It's not that I want him to stop, but it's important. "Do you have to pick up?" He presses kisses on my stomach that's showing because of my cropped hoodie. "Yes it's work." I have a work phone. He opens the button of my jeans. Quickly I take my phone out of my pocket and pick up. "Hello," I say. Daniel continues with his lips touching my skin. "Sorry to bother you on your off day, but you need to come to La Turbie. I'll text you the details," my best friend Julia says in her best French. "Alright. I'm coming," I reply back in French. "You speak French?" Daniel asks confused as he looks up. Is he serious? I hang up. "Of course, I do dump ass. But I have to go." I push him backwards and stand up, closing my button. "Why?" He sits down on the bed. "Duty calls." He grabs my hand. "You were free today," he says with a sad face. "Crime never stops." I gather my stuff. "We'll finish it later." I give him a kiss. "I'll text you." I open the door for myself and press the button for the elevator. "I don't want you to leave," he brags, holding my hand. "Me neither, but I have to." The elevator door opens. Max is standing there, on his phone. "I don't have seasons like you two do." I give him another kiss and step into the elevator, while Max steps out. "You don't have murder season?" Max asks. I open my mouth, "no, thank god," I say serious. That would have sucked really bad. "Bye baby." Quickly I wave to him. "You two were busy I see," Max says looking up and down at Daniel. "Yeah were," Daniel says as the door closes. I shake my head. He looks so sad. Again I take my phone out of my pocket to see what's going on in La Turbie.

I close the door of my car, after I sit down in the car seat. Julie knocks on my window, I lower the window. "Who were you with?" She asks in English. She's like me not officially from Monaco. She's from England and moved here 3 years ago. "Someone." I feel myself blushing. "I know it was a male. Tell me who it is." "Just someone," I say playing with her. She leans against my white Toyota. "I'm your best friend." "Alright, his name is Daniel," is all that I say. "What does he look like?" She's waiting for a detailed description. "Handsome," I start. She rolls her eyes. "Look I'm tires, so hurry up." I smile. "He has a thin beard, curly brown hair and brown eyes. And he has an Australian accent." She start to smirk. "Sexy." She moves her shoulders. I nod smiling. "Well see ya. I need to meet him one day." "We'll see, bye." She opens her mouth, fake heart. I close my window, grab my phone and text Daniel. It's 0.30 AM, hopefully he's still awake. He has to train tomorrow morning, well this morning. I start driving, it's only a 15-minute drive back to Monaco.

I change in a t-shirt of Daniel and crawl in bed next to him. His warm, strong arms warp around me. "How was work?" He asks with a heavy sleeping voice. "Okay. You know you didn't had to stay up." "I didn't. I fell asleep and woke up when you came in." Quickly after our small conversation I fall asleep.
