solid grounds

"are you all set my dear ?"i looked up into two pairs of eyes that belong to my mother ,bright with tears..the immortal that gave me life , Aphrodite..still as beautiful as ever with olive skin and eyes of the color i inherited ..the only similarity we have.

"you've got no idea how much I've waited for it..life around here is too boring mother!what with all the frills you dress me in and the lady lessons i take..i fail to realize how this can help me in any manner if what I've read about them mortals turns to be true?"i asked exasperatedly as my attendant Raya dressed me in those horrendous frills mother loved so much.

"well" my mother said rather pointedly ,as she studied me looking for a lock out of place."it seems that u forgot u r a mortal too aren't u Vittoria?and as to the lessons..wont hurt if a lady actually acted like..a lady now would it?charm is a powerful tool dear child..and u  should learn to use it to your best advantage"she sighed out her eyes gleaming with mischief.

i rolled my eyes knowing she was too busy replaying all the ways she used THAT to her advantage to notice..lost in her little world of red roses gifted by men and women alike that had fallen to her charms ..cringe worthy..i wish Athena was my mom ...at least i'd have something to listen to other than who was the best lover(to my mom none the less) and who gifted her what..and of course i wouldn't be in this petrifying pink dress..

"couldn't we have like had this dress be some other colour..like yellow? or blue..something other than the pink u always wrap me up in ..im not 9"i whined.

"well u sound like one"she laughed as i turned red. her face took a sad demeanor as she sensed the shift in the skies outside."it's time dear...the sun is calling. know that you are loved dearly....and shall you need me..just use the portal i gave my little girl" she smiled pointing at the necklace with the pink heart shaped crystal.

"oh mom ,careful u might ruin your makeup!"i exclaimed as i threw myself into her arms..feeling her tears hit the top of my head as she kissed my forehead in blessing."besides i think someone has been knocking rather insistently for the past five minutes.."

"yes dear..off you go..ill come out in a minute..i need to retouch my makeup"she said in all seriousness ..to which i just shook my head laughing and had Raya open the door to be met with a pair of silver blue eyes lit with annoyance .ahh..great.. Samuel is my babysitter for the evening..just when i thought life cant be sadder .
