She gasped and lost her balance from the force I exerted on her as she involuntarily shifted back. She ended up bumping into the door behind her where it’s doorknob jabbed into her left side. But I know my strength and restraint. There was no way in hell I was capable of doing that with the littlest of pushes I gave her. She's so extra that it irritates me. And to be honest that wasn't my intention at all just when I saw her it was like I lost all control.
“Owwww! Ugh how dare you put your hands on me like that?!”
“You know I didn't push you that hard now answer me!” I yelled at her.
In that moment I didn't give two fucks about her and just wanted to get my answers.
“Lucas. Lucas, he called me and told me you'd probably need me here for support.”
I couldn't blame Lucas. I never got the chance to tell him what happened between Nani and Aria. He was just trying to be a good brother and I appreciate that. But I wish he would've gone about this differently. Well what's done is done and now I need to deal with it. This is sooner than I had planned, but everything happens for a reason.
“Well I don't need you.”
“What, baby?” She asked with a frown plastered on her face.
“I said I don't need you and especially not after what you did.”
“Um, baby what are you talking about?”
“You know damn well what I'm talking about.”
“Baby, I think you're just really distraught and tired right now, you should get some rest. You sound absolutely delusional.” She said as if she was offended.
“Don't play that with me.”
“Are you feeling alright?” She says and puts the back of her hand against my forehead.
“Lose the f*cking act and admit you're the one who beat her up!"
She looked winded from my confrontation, but tried to remain in character.
“What? I didn't beat her up!”
I purposely said “her” instead of “Nani”. I was hoping she would say her name just so I could have confirmation and something to accuse her of.
“So you're just gonna keep playing this card with me and continue to lie to my face?!”
It was almost like at this point I couldn't even be mad anymore, I was just hurt. How could she do this to me? To her?
“I'M NOT! Why would I ever feel the need to lie to you?! You're my boyfriend. I did not beat Nani up!”
And there it was, “Nani”. Just what I wanted to hear, it was like music to my ears.
“I don't know why you would feel the need to lie to me either, that's also what I want the answer to. And I don't think I want to be with someone who can do such wrong, but then not even own up to it…and another thing I never said it was her.”
“Huh?”
I guess she didn't realize she had told on herself, but this was definitely the moment she realized she had screwed up and gotten herself caught.
“Yeah. I never said it was Nani.”
Silence. Her mouth left slightly agape while my eyes pierced hers, saying everything I know I shouldn't say aloud.
“You know? Crossing paths with you was one of the worsts mistakes of my life.” I added with no regret.
The second was not pursuing Nani when I had the chance to.
Her face went instantly blank and pale, I guess I finally hit a soft spot.
That's when I noticed something. There was dried blood in the crevices of one of her rings.
“That's her blood, isn't it?” I sternly questioned.
“Fine. I did beat her up and I'd do it all over again. I was not about to let that ugly ass hoe get off with saying whatever she pleased to me and not show her who she's really dealing with. She needed to be put in her place and that's where I put her. There. I admit it. Now can we please forget about that fat whore and stop letting her ruin our relationship.” She huffed before finishing with “Are we done here?”
Within a split second of her asking that unnecessary question I had already pinned her up to the wall behind her. How did I ever fall for her? How did I love someone so deceiving? I'm so estatic that it actually overweighs my heartbreak.
I was just glad this particular hallway was vacant at the time being.
“Don't you ever call her any one of those names again. And I mean ever…” I growled.
Right then I heard the subtle cough of an uninvolved person. “Um, excuse me?” They asked, voice full of disgust.
I turned to see an unpleasant female nurse eyeing me. In response I slowly slackened my grip on Aria and relaxed my muscles.
Aria took this opportunity to show out and slid down the wall holding her shoulders as she fake cried. That of course set the nurse off. She rushed to her side and asked “Oh sweetie are you okay?” before immediately calling for security directly after.
Shortly after I was being escorted out of the building by two guards. I didn't even bother to struggle, I was too mentally, emotionally, and physically drained. We passed Lucas and he was quick to his feet. He followed us outside and read a face full of shock.
As soon as the security guards were done warning me and re-entered the building Lucas was barricading me with questions.
“What happened? Did you do something?Where's Ari?”
I paused for a second.
“Look, let's get into all that later, I feel like I could just have a mental breakdown even trying to think about it... Were there any updates on Nani?”
“Um, yeah bro.” He sighed, placing his hand on his forehead and looking to the ground. Not good. I instantly tensed up.
“What's up?”
