After school we rushed home to get ready for the competition and Chan picked me up at his house in his dad's car that he let us borrow for the night.

"are you nervous?" he asked as we were backing up from my driveway.

"extremely" I answered, and Chan squeezed my hand, trying to settle my nerves.

It took us around 10 minutes to drive tho the venue and we had time until we had to go on so we just watched others performing and tried to practice more because watching how good everyone else was really made me freak out.

"Next up, CB97 and Rin" I took in a deep breath as Chan hugged me and we made our way onto the stage.

*they performed, all went well, blah blah*

"we did it!!" I yelled jumping off the stage and hugging Chan once again.

"You killed it, Rin" we fist-bumped and made our way back to where we were sitting.

"okay, everyone. It's time to reveal the results." Everyone stopped what they were doing and the room feel completely silent as we all looked up onto the stage. They announced the people that done well but just didn't make it, then the runners up, Chan and I didn't hear our names so I was getting ready to go until, "and the winners are.. CB97 and Rin!! please come up to the stage to collect your prize." I stopped breathing, not believing what I was hearing. I grabbed Chan's hand  and we ran up to the stage to collect our prize, we got our photo taken with the judges and got congratulated and then made our way outside to leave.

"hey, I've got something to tell you.."
