The bus finally stopped and the driver called out, telling everyone to get off.

I waited for everyone else to get off first and then I picked up my stuff and stepped off the bus, welcoming the fresh air.

I walked into the school and started skating around the hallways to the lunch hall where my friends and I usually met in the mornings.

"Aerin Moon, I have told you countless times, please do not skate in the halls." the principal called out to me but I just skated past him and pretended not to hear him as I still had my earphones in.

I got to the lunch hall and was greeted by my bestfriend and sister, Aelah. She's two years older than I am and in her last year of high school, but she moved out of the house and in with her boyfriend, Jason.

I sat down with them and our other two friends, Leo and Sammy. I started telling my sister about the competition that I entered and about the prize money I could win.

"10,000?? are you serious?" she said, not believing me.

"Yes, Aelah. 10,000!" I squealed, excitedly.

"well, you better win then. And take me on holiday!" we both giggled and I promised her that if I did win, I would take her on holiday.
