📖: When you're the biggest entertainer on Earth, you can't walk down the street without causing chaos.That was the thing with Michael Jackson. He couldn't enjoy the magic of Disneyland in peace because his daring fans would always bombard him. Though it was with love, it didn't allow him to experience normalcy in such a public place. But on Valentine's Day 1987, Michael does meet a girl one magical day at Disneyland and quickly gets hooked. The only problem is, when he met her, he was in one of his many disguises. The bigger problem: the fiery Latina Liliana Lopez has no idea the man she's falling for is in reality Michael Jackson.

💭: Behind The Mask is my second book published on Wattpad. It is without a doubt the most creative plots out of all my MJ Fics.
Because Michael would create pandemonium wherever he went, he could never just walk down the street or go to his favorite places like Disneyland in peace. Therefore, he used to dress in disguises. He once said he could fool his own mother.

So one night while I was in bed listening to his music, this scene started my playing in my head (which eventually would be chapter one). I learned that Michael used to go to Disneyland in disguise and I started wondering if he ever met anyone and would he actually hold conversations with people. Naturally, everything starting coming together and the story of Michael meeting a girl at Disneyland while in disguise was created.
🗝️Points:
-This completed trilogy holds a lot of mystery. The main character Liliana has no idea the man she met at Disneyland was indeed Michael Jackson. The puzzling aspects from their first meet carry on into the other books. It was very fun to write but also very hard at the same time by time the third book came around. Lots of research surrounding the This Is It tour and 06.25.09 went into it.
-The memoir Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days by Bill Whitfield, Javon Beard, and Tanner Colby helped me immensely in gaining the insight I needed to write the third book The Remasking.
