My Bleeding Promise

I

Two lost souls sat beside the bay

We're planets collided beyond the milky way.

I used to promised you that I will stay,

And my feelings for you will never drift away.

II

Shifting gazes along the flashing lights,

Faces plastered with a grin of delight.

We promised we'll never leave each other's sight,

The dim world I knew suddenly turned bright.

III

We promised this for eternity,

But our chained hearts wished to be free.

We were imprisoned for so long, just you & me,

In just a glimpse, our joyful souls become so lonely.

IV

We promised under the bleeding sunset,

Yet it fades along with the dark.

Once joyful hearts suddenly felt regret,

Our fiery love died, not even a single spark.

V

We promised we'll paint each a smile,

I can't believe I'm living in a world of lies.

And slowly, slowly your hand slipped through mine,

We have to say goodbye, this is the end of our time.

VI

For the price I have to pay,

To the words I failed to say.

I uttered an ought that I will stay,

But my feelings for you slowly drift away.
