Chapter 1: The Arc's Plunge Into The Dark

[Jaune's POV]

Who would've thought after protecting that ungrateful bastard known as Cardin from an ursa would've made things go from bad to worse considering that he told everyone about my faked transcripts.

But what blew me away was the fact that Ozpin already knew and he kept me because he saw potential that is sleeping deep inside me. But because of that whole endeavor of me being exposed nearly everyone hated me except for Ruby, Blake, and team CFVY.

It's nice to see some people still care but it doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt knowing that my other friends despised me now including Pyrrha which I don't get considering that I already told her of the transcripts but I guess she was nothing more than a liar.

Today I was meeting up with Ruby to her favorite cookie shop but when I made it outside, I see a bloodied Ruby slumped on a bench covered in cuts and bruises. This was the first time I've ever been truly scared since this isn't my life on the line but one of the most important people in my life.

I ran up to Ruby looking for a pulse, I thanked every possible god and Oum that I found a pulse. Though it's rather weak but I must get her to the infirmary fast!

After running with everything I got while carrying Ruby bridal style I made it to the infirmary and was able to save her.

I then grabbed Ruby's scroll and sent everyone a message that Ruby was in the infirmary and needed to get here quick. Once the message was sent I grabbed my stuff and began to leave the area since I know everyone excluding Blake wants to even be near me.

After leaving the infirmary I took a walk to the cliff where initiation took place so I can calm myself down.

[POV: Blake; Location: Infirmary]

After everyone recieved a message from Ruby's scroll saying that she was injuried pretty badly. Once we heard that we all rushed to the infirmary to check on her only to see that she was out cold.

Yang: Who could've done this...

I to pondered on who did this so I began to ask the nurses on what happened.

Me: Excuse me miss but do you know what happened to patient Ruby Rose

The nurse was trying to recall how Ruby got there in the first place

Nurse: We don't know who did this or why but we do know who brought her though.

That was when Ren pitched in

Ren: Can you tell us who they were?

The nurse then began to think on who the person was

Nurse: I never got his name but he had blonde hair, blue eyes, a sword, a shield, and a chestplate. The poor boy looked absolutely terrified and I couldn't blame him considering that he said that she was his bestfriend and he was ready to meet up with to hangout but he found her bleeding on a bench covered in cuts. The poor boy had to carry her all the way here not even bothering or probably noticed that her blood got on him. That's all that I can say but I did see him begin to walk to the cliff where initiation took place. I'm sorry I couldn't help out any more have a goodnight.

The nurse bowed before walking away. I turned to Yang who looked pissed with her eyes now as red as blood.

Yang: Of course that bastard was involved he just couldn't stay away from Ruby like I told him to and he has the nerve to attack her!

My eyes widen at Yang's accusation and judging by her tone I think I should try and diffuse the situation before she does something rash

Me: Now hold on Yang we can't just say that Jaune did it just because he was involved.
