Josh's POV
I looked down at Dylan from the third floor window as she sat in the same spot where I first said hi. We were in sixth grade I do believe and she sat on the bench every day with a drawing pad in her hands. Little kids would watch her draw and always be amazed by her skill of drawing everything she saw. I watched her from the window as she took photos and looked as if she was smiling. I quickly got a shot of her from the window and then ran to meet her outside. I found the doors and the childhood excitement that filled me that one faithful day. I opened the door and I saw the world through childlike eyes and began to film the whole thing. "This is the playground where I hung out with the guys and over there if you can see her." I zoomed in a little on Dylan. "Is the first place I ever talked to Dylan" I smiled and turned the camera off and made my over to her. Dylan looked up and a smiled, the color rushed back to her eyes and her rosy cheeks glowed brighter. "Dylan do you have your cigarettes?" She nodded and pulled them out of her pocket looking at me slightly weird. "Okay I have an idea cause I have a picture of us from 6th grade sitting here being kids. I want to do a side by side." She giggled and set her camera up and I began to set mine up. "Dude I'm jealous you have a remote for your camera to take pictures of yourself." She looked at me "Yours has one too we have the same camera."
She moved back to the bench and lit her cancer stick and I sat next to her. We always said she'd be the one to be the edgy punk/emo kid. I heard my timer counting down and Dylan took a long drag and blew out the smoke as the flash went off. We took a few of her smoking and the moment she flicked her butt away I wrapped my arm around her and she began to smile wide. "You know I wish I had my old art pad still that'd be a serious recreation of that photo." The giggle erupted from her lips as the camera flashed catching her in the happiest state I've seen in a long time. I smiled as I watched her smile and I heard a click from her camera then I got an idea. Grabbing her face I quickly pressed my lips on hers and as clicks came from both camera I knew the moment was captured forever.
"And over here we have Josh eating Dylan's face while having a quick photo op." I jumped back as the guys had their cameras pointed dead at us. I threw snow at John and kept hearing clicks and Dylan's giggle. I looked at her and smiled more, I focus my camera on her as her stood out against the white background the snow had created. I watched as it had blown to the side and looked perfect. Her brown hair had blown to the side and was moving with the wind as if it was one. She stood still knowing what was happening and I took that as a chance to get a little closer. She carefully pulled on the neck line of her jacket and showed off a tattoo that she had described to me as an 'Anti-possession' marking, the jet black tattoo stood out the most on her paper white skin and she looked off to the side, her eyes make the look of searching for something that wasn't there.
Dylan had always had this look of searching since she lost her brother to suicide a year or so ago. I've never seen a strong family break like they did, he dad an ever famous demon hunter, had even looked like he had been hit by a train. I got the picture of her and then heard the grumble of an ever hungry Steve than as if they were all one person "Hey guys its cold and we're hungry." Dylan had packed up her camera and headed back towards the cars and everyone followed close behind.
We made it back to our cars and I leaned in to get a kiss as Dylan was opening her trunk. "I'm gonna head home to drop off my stuff I'll meet you guys at?" Dylan's voice was small and kind of tired sounding as she closed the trunk. "TACO BELL?" of course anything sounded good to the guys so a collective yes was screamed from John's car. I kissed her quickly and let her get in her car "You drive safe okay? See you soon." She nodded and started the engine and pulled out of her parking spot and turned onto the road.
I leaned against my car and spoke aloud "I'm in love with a Winchester this is going to be a fun trip." I got in a started up the engine and began to pull out and leave, watching in the rear view mirror as the guys followed.
