Act 3 Scene 1- Kent braves the storm for Lear=bff goals

SETTING: on the heath in the middle of the storm

SUMMARY:

Kent meets Lear's soldier in the storm and talk about what's been happening; the brewing conflict between Albany and Cornwall and how Cordelia is landing in Dover to re-instate King Lear.

Kent sends soldier to Dover with message to Cordelia about Lear then goes to find Lear-

possibly the purpose of this scene is exposition for the play's events.

CONTEXT:

Microcosom-> Lear is a miniature version of the universe

KEY QUOTES:

·       'Strives in his little world of man' line 10 pg.123 MICROCOSM

·       'impetuous blasts, with eyeless rage' line 8 pg.123 MADNESS

Note: This is one of the many times Kent proves his loyalty to Lear and just... it gives me feels. Also this scene mght be a bit pointless but you can pick out the fact that the storm is described with corporeal imagery (body imagery), possibly reflecting that there is an external and internal storm occurring.
