Martha had two considered to be worst days of her life. The first being the day of her husband's, George Washington, passing which is definitely understandable. Her second worst day being the day Thomas Jefferson decided to visit her in 1801, after Washington passed. She was not fond of the involvement of political attacks on her husband. She called Jefferson "one of the most detestable of mankind". If anybody was to mess with George, then she'll never forgive or forget.
