"It wasn't a mistake..."
My fathers horrid words cloud my train of thought as I'm driving away from the house to my boyfriend, Cameron's house. Yes, I do have a boyfriend, but he is a couple years older. He's one of my brothers dodgy friends but he is a big softie once you get to know him.
I pull up in the familiar driveway of his mansion. Yeah, I have a hot bad boy boyfriend and he's rich too. I see my brothers car, as well as his 2 other best friends cars.
I get out of my van and run up to the huge wooden front door. I ring the door bell a couple of times and hear someone unlocking the door. Cameron opens the door and takes in my tear soaked face. He pulled me inside, shuts the door and crushed me in a hug. He is considerably taller than me, so I lay my head on his chest and wrap my arms around his waist. His has his arms wrapped around my head and my neck, pushing to his chest so I can cry.
"What happened baby girl," he asked after a minute of hugging me. He pushes me out of his hold and holds me at an arms length.
"Dad cheated on mom," I reply while sniffling.
He grabs my head and takes me to his man cave where the boys are.
I see my brother, Riley, and his two other friends Parker and Mitchell. They are sitting playing xbox when I go up to Riley and continue to cry into his neck.
"What happened ty bear?" He asked. I looked up at his face only to be met with genuine concern.
"Dad cheated on mom. He pushed her and when I gave him my 2 cents worth he said it wasn't a mistake. Oh Lee, what are we gonna do?" I replied in between sniffles.
"We'll figure it out. Aye boys we're gonna go but I'll see ya later," my brother told the boys.
I walked over to Cameron and pecked his lips. He held my face and whispered in my ear
"See ya later baby girl. I love you."
I kissed his lips one more time before saying "I love you to bear."
"Alright love birds, there are single people in the room and they may or may not be jealous at the moment so say your goodbyes ty and piss off would ya?" Parker said with a chuckle
"Just because you ain't gettin any," I retorted with a laugh.
"Not my fault the ladies don't want any of this, right Mitch?"
Mitchell turned his head and looked at Parker. He doesn't talk very much and when he does, it's only like 2 or 3 words.
"Who would want that? Your an ugly, perverted man-whore with no sense of humor,"Mitchell replies to him. Everyone taken aback just looks at him. I register what he said and laugh under my breath, Shake my head and walk out of the house to greet Riley outside standing beside his car.
"We're taking my car. We can pick yours up tomorrow," he tells me and I just nod my head.
I get in the passenger door of his olive green 981 Boxter and wait for him to turn on the car. We spend half the ride in silence until he speaks up, "I want to live with mum."
"So do I," I replied to his statement. With the way my dad acts though. We may not have a choice.
We pull up in the drive way of our home to see the front door open. We get of the car and walk inside the house to be met with silence. I look at Riley curiously, then walk to the living room where our parents are sitting opposite each other in silence.
"So what's happening?"I ask, wanting to know what remains of my family.
"We're getting a divorce and we have settled that you children are going to live with your father in Chicago," my mother replied in a monotone voice. I saw a tear run down her face as I pulled her up from her chair. I silently motioned for Riley to follow us to my bedroom. Once we all got inside, I shut the door.
" I don't want to live with that ass crack of a father. He cheated on you and he also hurt you when he pushed you. And I happen to like it here, don't want to move," I whisper yelled to at my mom.
She stared at me with a blank expression before replying, "I had no choice, he threatened to beat me and fuck his new girlfriend in front of me to torture me even more. He said after that he would make her kill me," in a whisper yell with tears running down her face.
I didn't want to believe my dad would do that, but I knew he would. Riley stayed quiet through this whole conversation. I looked at him and what do I see? Mr. tough guy has silent tears rolling down his cheeks.
I jump in mums arms and hold her tight, while she holds me with the same amount of strength. Riley comes and joins in on the hug. We stay quiet when I hear my dad speak up, "better start packing, we leave tomorrow night."
