CHAPTER 9 - FRIENDLY DISGUISE

CHAIIRA'S POV

Pagkarating namin sa bahay, Ate Clarisse went off to someplace. Magmi-meet daw kasi sila ni Ice. They have to talk about something daw? I'm not sure if it's something relevant, pero that's what I need right now - for her to learn more about what I am facing and to get more information as to how I can stop these blessings.

Nagpaalam naman siya kay Mama and to my other relatives na kararating lang, so it wasn't that rude.

Tita Natalia and her children, which are my cousins, will be staying here for a week, tapos babalik na sila uli ng Canada.

They'll be here for some kind of vacation? Tsaka kahit papaano they need to unwind kasi grabe na raw ang stress ni Ate Jean sa Canada.

She told me that someone was so overly obsessed of her. She used to like the guy kaso you know toxic relationships should end as much as possible.

Wow, coming from a never-had-a-boyfriend person.

I know right. Maybe I'm just too pretty for them.

I laughed at my own silliness and closed my eyes. Nakahiga kasi ako sa higaan while I think of what Ate Jean said a while ago.

I felt a rush of blood in my face. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ganon, but I felt motivated to get on my feet and found myself standing in front of my cousin's room - which was the guest room. The door was left open ajar, so medyo kita ko kung anong ganap sa loob.

She beamed at me as she placed all her clothes in the closet and sorting them to what makes it in order for her.

We were close cousins. Back in the days, lagi kaming magkasama ni Ate Jean, lalo na nung nagstay sa ibang bansa si Ate Clarisse. I stayed with their family for years, and I learned to treat them as siblings. Close kami ni Ate Clarisse, yes, no doubt.
