Six months later...
Harry's POV
Tour has been great, although it does get tiring by the end of a few months. We've been recording our new album on the road too, which we are all very proud of. Unpacking my clothes in my apartment which felt cold, l hadn't had enough time to make it feel more homely before we all left. It was so quiet too, a little eerie actually. All of Europe was fantastic, and l am sure to remember the good times we had there, but l am a hundred percent sure that there are more memories to come.
The first lot was hard. Monique was on my brain constantly, and l couldn't bear the thought of her moving on without me. Although it was the best thing to do, l simply could not block the voice at the back of my head telling me it didn't even matter. I don't know what it was with her, something you don't feel very often, it was some sort of connection l couldn't label. Just the way she presented herself led to a smile on my face.
It took some convincing, and let me tell you a hell a lot of convincing from family and friends, but mainly the boys to pick myself up and move on. Of course it wasn't going to happen; she was already a step ahead of me in her life, getting married. I dated Kendall for a while, but that was just a fling. Not that l used her or anything, but there was no connection between us. Talking about her marriage, it's tomorrow. I'm happy for her, and all of us are invited, she kept in touch with the boys, and a few texts were thrown here and there between the two of us but nothing but wondering how l was going.
Placing myself on the couch, l felt my phone vibrate in the pocket of my skinny jeans.
Georgia xx
Duddee, missing your stupid jokes! Need to catch up soon! :) :) :)
I replied with a smirk, Georgia and l have been seeing each other for a few months now, l think she was the only one who actually appreciated my horrible joke telling.
Me
Definitely, very soon! x
Georgia xx
Great! I'll text the boys to see what they're doing!
Me
Oh... uhm l thought it could be just us two again?
Georgia xx
Hehehehe, of course l was only joking! What about tomorrow?
Me
I've got to go to a wedding. Hold on... will you come as my date?
Georgia xx
I haven't even got a dress!
Me
I'm sure you'll be able to find one on the internet, if not l can get Lou to hook you up with one.
Georgia xx
I can't say no now can l? By the way, who is the wedding for?
Frowning at the text, l had to try and find an explanation for how l got to know this couple.
Me
Just some good friends. I'll pick you up at 11am since the reception starts at 1pm and it is a bit of a drive away, see you soon babe. xx
Georgia xx
You're too cute! See ya x
She's gorgeous. I met her when she came to keep Lou (our makeup and hair stylist) some company during the tour. She wasn't too bad at style either, she had some tattoos herself, and l guess she caught my eye as soon as l spotted her. We started talking and hit it off instantly. It just went from there l guess.
Monique's POV
The final preparations have been organised, and l shouldn't be stressed but l really am. I should be relaxing or getting some well needed sleep, but it is the day before my wedding and l am sure most future wives didn't get that much sleep. Over-analysing things was the type of person l was, especially before l fell asleep.
Although when the bed dipped, and l felt a warm body next to mine it decreased the rate of my thinking. Without a word, an arm slipped around my waist, and a kiss was placed on my temple. I could feel the hot, but steady breathing of Mike on my neck and l didn't even have to turn around to know that l would be safe in his arms.
Just the way he held me made me feel protected from the harsh world out there, and l knew there was no mistake in taking Mike's hand in marriage. Drowsing off to sleep l could hear soft snores from Mike, but then it hit me. If Mike snored, it was the type you would make fun of once you woke up in the morning and joked about all day, not the type to make me smile.
Looking down l saw a little lock on the wrist of the hand cradling me so gently. No surprises when l rolled over to find the curly haired one with his head buried into the pillow letting out a grunt as l disturbed his sleep. Shock ran through my system. No. No. This...
Being shaken awake l opened my eyes to find brown concerned ones, followed by a rusty sleepy voice.
"You okay Mon?"
"I...I... just had a bad dream," I lied; "About tomorrow."
"Nothing is going to ruin the best day of our lives tomorrow okay Mon? Just try get some rest, you'll need it."
A reassuring smile from Mike was all l needed, l simply nodded and let him return to his quiet sleep. Harry became nothing to me a long time ago, l erased those thoughts a long time ago. There was a feeling in my gut telling me something wasn't right about that dream, but being too tired to care at that moment, l just left it at nerves about tomorrow. Before closing my eyes l realised this would be the final step of a big part in my life. My wedding day was going to be filled with new experiences, and would be just the start of a new chapter. Growing up.
