"Penny for your thoughts?"
Dara turned around only to be caught by a warm pair of arms. She smiled and sniffed his scent as she buried her nose in his chest. "I love you, Ji."

"Suddenly?" He chuckled at her randomness. "I love you more."

"Thank you for this,"

"What? You bought this house, Madame."

Dara chuckled at her husband's silliness. "Thanks for agreeing to this."

"Dara, after you give birth, we're going home, okay? That's our agreement."

"Yes, sir." she beamed at him. "Don't you think I made really good investments here? This house... A few business and franchise here and there—"

"That, you did." Jiyong tapped her nose. "I'm so proud of you,"

"It doesn't hurt your pride anymore?" Dara eyed him.

"Yah... yeobo... I'm, doing well on my own too FYI!" Jiyong pointed out before sighing in defeat. "Fine... Jogeum?" Jiyong squinted his eyes before laughing. "Can I tell you a secret?"

"Huh? Is there still a secret between us?"

"Eoh." Jiyong chuckled. "When we were still dating, I used to dream that one day you'd spend all my money all you want. I wished you'd splurge all my bank accounts empty and I'd be the happiest man alive. But you always turn me down, the least I could do was buy you stuff I'm 100% sure you'd like and share my clothes with you."

"Jiyong—"

"I realized I've matured a lot since then. If I was still that immature kid, my pride would really get hurt seeing how successful you've been here without my help. Imagine, you earned all of these while I was in the military. But you know what? Right now, I'm just happy. I feel so proud of you."

"Who said I earned a lot here without your help? You were such a supportive boyfriend and you listen well to noona,"

"Aisht..." Jiyong frowned at her before pulling her to him like a shy kid. "Damn. That still has so much effect on me,"

"What? Me being your noona?"

"Ah, jinjja!" his cheeks grew warm as she poked fun of him. "You got me that way. You ... You... that noona thing? Aisht."

"Why?" Dara played innocent until Jiyong's cheeks were about to burst. "You call me ahjumma all the time back then,"

"That's because. Forget it," Jiyong shook his head as they reminisced their earlier days together. He chuckled and gave her a peck on her forehead. The sun was starting to set yet surprisingly, he was still feeling energetic and excited. Maybe it's because he was really looking forward to living in the mean time in a new environment. And maybe, it's because it finally sunk in to him that he and his family was now free from the prying eyes of media. It was relieving and very liberating.

He took a deep breath and looked ahead. "Aigoo... The weather here is nice. I think I'll get used to it."

"Where are the boys by the way?" Dara asked as she peeped into their room.

"Watching TV," Jiyong said. He was about to take Dara to a bench when their sons suddenly came rushing to them.

"Appa! Appa!" Yongil was first to get out to the balcony while holding his phone. The eldest gave it to him while panting. "It's ringing!"

Jiyong carefully sat Dara down the bench and made sure to warn the boys not to crawl over their mom's lap before answering the call.

It was Hyun Suk.
