"Alright, Taylor, so how do you view life?" I ask, sitting with my legs crossed on my soft, warm bed. Taylor is sitting on the other end of the bed, looking somewhat nervous if I were to be honest. I'm not sure why he would be nervous, I mean, I'm just a person, as well as himself. Then again I just asked him how he views life, so I'm not sure I wouldn't be as nervous as anything myself. If someone asked me how I view life, I would be throwing up at the moment, which is why I'm trying not to sweat too noticeably at the moment.

"It's a bit complicated at the moment," he admits, looking down at his tight, dark jeans. He looks sad for a second, but he looks back up quickly as if I'll catch him in the act of stealing a car. I find it odd how he does that, if you ask him the wrong thing, it's like he wants to scream something at you, a plead for help, but he doesn't. He hides whatever it is that there is to hide, and it feels like I'm the only one that has been noticing that in the two weeks we've been in this new school year.

"Well then maybe we should start simple. We should get to know each other a bit more so that we can get a better understanding of each opinion," I suggest, trying to steer away from the idea of viewing life. Taylor nods yes a little quickly, but I shake it off.

"Okay, do you have any siblings?" he asks awkwardly adjusting his bright red beanie.

"Not yet, but my dad's soon to be wife is five months pregnant. It's a girl, but I'm pretty sure she's a little young for you if that's what you mean," I explain resting my chin in my hands, watching as Taylor raises his eyebrows and chuckles.

"Actually, I have a whole line of girls waiting to date me, it's like three miles long, so I have no idea what you're talking about," he says in a sarcastic voice. "I have two brothers though, Justin and Chris," I laugh and sit up, using my hands to support my leaning back on nothing.

"Thank you for that information, but I have a six mile long line waiting for me to be available for them to fight over me," I explain making a funny face at my guest.

"Oh, so Williams got herself a boyfriend..." Taylor starts. "It's Josh isn't it? I knew it all along. The countless times I noticed one of you staring at the other, the giggles, grins, holding hands in the hallways..."

"Gosh, you're more annoying than you look," I reply sticking my tongue out at him. "What's your favorite class in school?" I ask him, moving all of my dirty, dark orange hair to the side.

"I would say guitar, but I'm already ahead of everyone because I've been playing since I was young, so I like dismissal the best," he explains quickly. "Judging by your millions of posters, we like a lot of the same stuff,"

"Do we? You'd love my friends then, they love this genre of music, and they play instruments too. My friend Jeremy is a senior, he plays mostly bass, Josh plays guitar, and my other friend Zac, a year younger than us, and Josh's brother, sticks with the drums. They're all really good, too, and if you're as good at guitar as you claim, I think you four would get along really well," I explain in a excited tone.

"That's cool, I'm not exactly the best at talking to people though, you don't have to do that for me. Besides, we hardly know each other," Taylor claims looking conflicted. He does seem like a quiet guy, but that's okay, he can still make friends. I have friends he might like, so why not introduce them?

"Come on, Taylor, it'll be fine. I want you too, and you're talking to me just fine," I say trying to win him over with my idea.

"Really, I'm fine with just my guitar, you don't have to," he responds trying to be polite. I can't just let him be the kid that no one knows or likes though, I mean, he seems pretty cool to me.

"Please," I basically beg him. "It doesn't have to be for long, maybe just an hour. I think Jeremy is at Josh and Zac's house right now. I would've gone too, but I chose to stay here with some strange guy I don't know who could throw me out the window at any point now,"

"First of all, I'm not that bad. Second, the day I throw someone out the window will be the day that you wear neon pink and green striped pants, and we both can tell that isn't happening anytime soon. Lastly, I got partnered up with a stranger for a project and now that stranger wants to introduce me to three other strange people and expect us to become instant friends," Taylor says looking at me like I'm a psycho.

"You do know who I am! I'm Hayley Williams, the antisocial fifteen year old girl who everyone hates for no reason! I live for music and food and I like spending my time helping curly headed guys I meet find good, strong friendships!" I explain loudly with my hands up. He chuckles and I smile. "I promise, if they're mean, which they won't be and I know it, I'll beat them up for you,"

"Fine, I'll go, but only for a little while, then we have to get serious with this project and finish it because it's already been two weeks and nothing is happening," he says agreeing.

"Yes!" I say throwing my fists in the air as a victory move. "This is gonna be awesome, let's go!"

"We've only just met, but I pretty sure you're insane," Taylor explains as we both stand. "It's just a guess,"

"It's okay, I probably am Curly Head," I admit as I slip on my old, beat up converse.

"Alright then Santa's Little Helper," he replies with a chuckle. I'm not quite sure why, but I really love it when he calls me that, it's like our little secret.

I hope you guys are enjoying the story so far! Sorry this chapter is a little shorter, I thought we got to a good stopping point. If you want more, vote, comment, and share the story around! I'm proud to say my readers are so great, so thank you all for reading so far, because this story has a lot of intense scenes coming up!

About the 'Santa's Little Helper' thing, it's a personal nickname to me personally, honestly. Someone I met was literally a foot taller than me (Yes, he is tall and I am short), and so he calls me that nickname. It's a little different than Taylor and Hayley, but I though it would be kind of cute, so boom! There is the story of the nickname 'Santa's Little Helper'!

On another note, why do you think Taylor is so closed off, and what could he be hiding under that beanie of his? There is a lot going on in everyone's life right now, not just his, but keep this in mind. Do you think it means something, or nothing at all?
