01: Wrong Side

"Wake up Mr. Alphaire~"

"I am getting impatient. Its better if you wake from your deep slumber."

"Wake up~ you tiny imbecile!"

My eyes flickered due to the beaming rays of the sun. And I saw the man talking to me endlessly. 'Masyado siyang maingay' sabi ko sa isip ko. And since I'm not fully awake, I am not aware of my surroundings. My head keeps on turning in an endless path of myriad circles.

"Oh, you've already opened your eyes. Come on stand up, mukhang di ka naman siguro napuruhan ni Leah," the man said while helping me to stand. Nahihilo parin ako kaya patumba-tumba akong tumayo habang hawak ko ang malamig na kamay ng lalaki. Nung binuksan ko na ng tuluyan ang aking mga mata, hindi ako makapaniwala sa aking nakita.

Wow...

The room is very spectacular. Modernized ang mga gamit, but still the vintage flavor of the interior could be fully recognize. Malaki din ito; as in. Since I am standing in front of the sofa, maganda ang anggulo dito para makita ang kabuuan ng kwarto. In my left, I saw a table full of papers and pens, may computer din dito. It looks like an office table but I don't know what that really is. Behind the table, a big window is placed where you can see buildings almost touching the skies; more specifically school buildings.

Napadako naman ang tingin ko sa aking kanan. Makikita dito ang isang malaking glass door at may dalawang taong nakabantay sa labas. Malalaki ang katawan nila at may dalang malalaking baril. Ganon siguro ka protektado ang lugar na ito. Napansin ko ang pinto at ang lamesa, pero di ko kaagad napansin ang nasa harapan ko.

Medals, trophies, certificates, sashes, and plaques decorated the gigantic glass compartment. All of golden hue. Kumikinang ng kumikinang ang mga medalya at nagmistula pa itong mga ilaw dahil sa reflection na lumilibot sa buong silid. And there is this thing that is very irrelevant throughout those things, there is this big vial -the one that is used in alchemy- in the center of the compartment containing moving-iridescent particles that shines not so bright but because of its alluring property, it just stands out amongst everything. Kumbaga, isang diyamante sa gitna ng mga bato.

I can't believe that someone can achieve hundreds, maybe thousands of honor in his lifetime. Medyo nagdududa ako doon.

"Wh-where a-am I?" pautal-utal kong tanong. My body is still weak because of both amusement and shock.

"Ohh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Jordan Alafox or just Fox. I am the current Dean this school. I should welcome you formally," he then paused and cleared his throat, "Welcome to GMIA, Mr. Alphaire Gonzales."

I was left standing and astounded. My eyes totally opened and mouth agaped widely after the man said his polite greetings. I never thought that entering GMIA would be like this possible. Neither it came passed my mind that I really could step my foot in this school's grounds. It is highly unbelievable. At sa loob talaga ng office ng dean!?

Before, I was just dreaming about this place. But now, It feels like I'm in cloud nine. It's heavenly. It is an understatement that I am shocked, I.AM.ASTONISHED.

"Do you want me to tour you around the school?" he asked me out of the blue. Syempre, o-oo ako hindi dahil sa gusto ko talagang maikot ang school, kundi dahil kay Mr. Alafox mismo. It is a privilege to be blessed with the dean's own assistance. Mahirap na, baka one shot lang 'to at hindi na ulit mangyari.

"S-sure..." he lead the way out of the office. Syempre, nakaalalay parin siya saakin kahit papano. As we walk through the glass door, it automatically opened by itself. Ang buong pagaakala ko, bubuksan ito ng mga guard sa labas; but I was wrong. Napayuko ako ng kaunti dahil sa disappointment. Binilisan ko pa ng kaunti ang aking paglalakad ng bigla kong makita ang katawan nung lalaki na mababangga ko na.
