Please watch the video above the titleYou will need to know how how to pronounce each letter. The consonants are the same in Japanese as they are in English. The vowels can be different, though. Here is a list:
A= ah, as in job
E= eh, as in bred
I= ee, as in me
O= oh, as in mow
U= oo, as in clue.
Most letter combinations such as 'sh' exist in Japanese. The 'English' version of Japanese characters is called Romaji. When I say あ is pronounced as 'A', the romaji would be the English spelling, 'A'. In this chapter, you will be expected to memories Hiragana letters, and their pronunciation
Definitions:
Kanji: Japanese characters. There is no alphabet system to Kanji.
Hiragana: an alphabet system used as a substitute for Kanji. You can use Hiragana instead of Kanji anytime.
Katakana: an alphabet system used for foreign words. Such examples are names and types of clothing such as shirts and dresses.The following will explain additional rules.

Two quotes near the top right corner dull the sound
Example: か(ka) becomes が(ga)
Example: ふ(hu) becomes ぶ(bu)A small circle near the top right corner indicates an, originally, 'H' sound turning to a 'P' sound. This only works for 'H' sounds
Example: ひ(hi) becomes ぴ(pi)
