I opened my eyes to find myself in a cage. It was a lot like the cages Trace and Drake had used except there was no metal table in the middle. Instead there was more cages as if they were prepared to lock up a small army worth of Tiger-humans. I was in one of the four middle cages, and I could faintly make out Jason in the one across from me. Damien was in the left cage next to Jason with Ashley on his other side. Samantha was next to Ashley and the door near her. Samantha was shaking badly as if she was reliving a traumatic memory.

I looked to my left to see Alexander beside me. He was sitting in the corner of his cage with a dull gloomy look in his eyes as he stared at the door. Lira was in the cage diagonal from me while the cage behind mine was empty. The only signs someone had been there was the scuff marks on the bottom of the cage as if the person had scratched at the metal under the cage.

Austin was across the empty cage out cold. His chest rising and falling was the only sign that I could see from this far away that told me he was still alive. Robert was sitting in the cage to Austin's right and was crying for Zila. Poor kid, he didn't deserve to go through this trauma, but then again, neither did Samantha. Zackery was in the cage to Austin's left, trying to grab ahold of his father's pants.

"Dada." Zackery called out.

"Mama!" Robert cried rocking back and forth.

"A-April?" Alexander asked as he turned his face to look at me.

His face seemed to light up as he saw that I was awake. He immediately reached his hand into my cage and hug me, but he couldn't reach me. Before I could scoot over to receive his hug, the door slammed open. I couldn't see who it was, but whoever it was, was busy dragging a girl with black hair across the floor towards the cage behind me.

"Stupid girl. Apparently, Michael caught this one attempting to sneak out the back where the older werewolf and the newer Tiger-human had snuck in. Can you believe how stupid they were to attempt sneaking into our lair without knowing the way to the rest? If the werewolves from that Shadow Pack hadn't alerted us that Austin Prowler and April Springs were trying to rescue every damn experiment we had here, we wouldn't have been prepared and set the newer vampires to walk around the courtyard while we prepared for their escape." The vampire chuckled as the clicking of heels on the cement floor rung through my ears.

"Shut up will you, Mr. Sanders? It was difficult to even lure them here. Now contact your coven leader and get the lab prepped for Miss. Springs to give her blood to Robert Prowler to change him into a Tiger-human as well." A familiar voice spoke.

"No!" Robert wailed as he trembled in his cage.

The two left the room and closed the door behind them. The click clack of the heels told me they were going away which gave me time to turn my attention towards the girl in the cage. The black haired girl groaned in pain and opened her eyes to reveal blue eyes. A scar ran down her cheek and I couldn't help, but back up into the side of my cage that Alexander was in. He turned me to face him and then backed up himself in shock and fear.

"A-April, y-your eyes..." He breathed.

"What about my eyes? what's so wrong with my eyes?" I asked shocking myself with how weak and forced my voice sounded.

"They're yellow now, not green." He breathed.

"What?" Damien and Jason yelled at the same time.

I stared at them only to hear them gasp in shock. Lira was busy muttering incoherent things to herself while Ashley was busy trying to get Samantha to respond to her. The girl sat up and I turned to look at her as she looked at me. Robert was still wailing while Zackery finally managed to grab his father's ankle. Austin sat up with a start and looked around, obviously confused before the horror of the reality set in.
