Party Time...?

----------(Lilly's pov)---------

I walked I into Jack's house wearing a blue sparkly dress.

"Happy Birthday!" Everyone screamed as I walked through the door.

I pretended to be super surprised.

"Ok," Jill said walking towards me, "Who told you?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," I pretended.

"Come on, I know you already knew about it so spill,"

"ok," I said admitting,"I over heard you or Jack talking to my mom on the phone,"

"oh, well either way do you like your 'surprise' party?" Jill asked.

"Yeah I love it, one thing. umm... is... umm..." I started but didn't have to finish my sentence.

"No, Maddie isn't here, sorry,"Jill finished my sentence, "And neither is Nick, Sorry again. We invited them they just never responded,"

"Oh," I said.

I decided to forget them for today I had a birthday to celebrate, a party to dance at, and a whole table full of presents.

"Hey are you sure you don't want to go to Lilly's party? She is still your friend after all" I tried again.

"huh, ya right," Maddie replied.

I wanted to go to support her on her birthday but I also didn't want to upset Maddie. I didn't want to take sides either though. I was so torn.

"Ok," I replied.

"If you want to go, then go," Maddie replied.

She walked away from me and walked over to where Don was In the kitchen. I decided to stay where I was and I just so happen to see her bake with Don and they would try to get batter on each others faces. I got that he was he stepbrother now but, for some reason it still made me jealous.

Do I like my best friend?
