Travis

All morning long, she's been tossing her hair. I'm done. And I can't hide it anymore, cameras be damned.

"Let's go." I basically growl through my teeth. "Enough stalling."

"Stalling? I'm prepping for later! This lunch won't make itself, you know." She actually adds a little humph at the end. How spoiled can a girl get?

"We have to go when the sun is low, it will block our sight as it rises."

Lacey whips her head around, which of course tosses her hair, and glares at me. "What are we doing that the sun will block our sight?"

Perfect. She's nervous, I've got her right where I want her. "Nope. That's part of the deal, you find out when it happens and not a minute before."

Her eyes narrow. "Fine," she says flatly, then presses her lips together tightly. She puts the things back in the cooler and wipes her hands on a towel. Miss Princess takes a deep breath and looks back over at me.

"Let's go." She still has a hint of attitude, like she wants to rip my head off the first chance she gets.

I point to the packs we have to carry, along with the water and helmets. "Grab your pack and a water. I can help strap the helmet on and then we'll head out."

"Kay," she says quietly. I'm getting the sense that she's not going to talk much. That would pretty much ruin the segment. No one wants to watch a silent post. I'm not sure what's worse, the cold shoulder or the hair flipping.

"Is that snug enough?" I ask after strapping her helmet and Go Pro camera on.

"MmmHmm." she basically mumbles back. Whatever, its time to go.

"Follow me." I order and take off to the rock face I plan for us to climb. I had already secured the area early the day before, right before her Highness arrived and caused a stir with all the dang bags. Obviously I hadn't gotten over having to haul most of them to the camp site.

What can I say, I'm bitter.

As soon as we get to the rock, which was only a fifteen minute hike from our tent, and during which Lacey was silent the entire time, I finally hear her make a sound. A gasp to be more specific.

"What?" I turn to her and say. But one look at her tells me what. She's white as a ghost, and I can already see the sweat beads forming.

"What.are.we.doing?" She says through clenched teeth.

I shrug. "Typical camping stuff," is my reply.

Her face says it all. No effing way.

"Umm, no," is the only reply she gives. Then she takes two steps back, clearly freaked out. Good.

"You signed an agreement. You're wearing a Go Pro. I've got the carabiners all lined up. Let's go."

"Crap," she mutters. Her face is still the color of rice, or chalk, completely pale. Her mouth is open and I think she might actually start crying. Part of me feels bad for her.

But that part can go to hell cause it's time to climb a rock.

"I'll follow you up to make sure you're finding the right holds, and to catch you if you fall," I add, with a smirk.

"I think I might pass out..." she whispers. Thankfully the microphone on the Go pro is pretty sensitive. I'm sure it picked that up.

"Nah, you'll be fine. I got ya." Lacey looks at me, takes a step closer to where I'm standing and burns her gaze into mine. She doesn't say a word, but I get the message.

I hate you right now.

Feeling's mutual sweetheart.

Oh man, these two... smh right?!? Maybe once they actually climb the rock?? Or not...
