*Beep Beep*

Sounded the alarm clock next to Ben's bed. Groaning, he searched for the snooze button while still trying to sleep.

"Five more minutes." He yelled out.

"Honey, it's time to wake up." A soft soothing voice called out.

"Didn't you hear me? Five more minutes." He yelled back, picking his head up. "It's too early to get up on a Saturday."

"Ben, get up now." The woman's voice said a little more sternly.

Ben sighed and plopped his head back down on his pillow trying to fall back into a deep slumber. A few minutes passed before his door creaked open. A little girl with black hair walked over to Ben and shook him.

"Hmm." Ben groaned, his head still laying on the pillow and his eyes closed.

"Mom said it's time to wake up." Said the little girl. Her voice as soft and mellow as her mother's.

Ben groaned and looked up at his younger sister. "Fine. I'll get up."

The little girl proceeded to leave Ben's room and run back downstairs. Ben got out of bed and went over to his wooden dresser. He opened up the top drawer and pulled out a grey shirt with a v-neck. Then, he opened up the drawer right below the first one and pulled out sweatpants. Finally, he opened up one of the smaller bottom drawers and pulled out a pair of socks.

He slipped the v-neck shirt over his muscular torso, the sweatpants over his legs, and he slipped the socks over his feet. He put on his running shoes and walked downstairs.

"Honey, can you help us in the kitchen?" His mother called out.

"Yeah, sure."

Ben walked through the living room and over to the sliding door that leads into the kitchen. When he opened the door he saw his mother, father, little sister, and little brother standing in the middle of the kitchen holding a birthday cake.

"Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday dear Ben.

Happy birthday to you." They all sung.

"Blow out your candles birthday boy." Said his father, who has almost the same muscular build that Ben does.

Ben walked up to the cake and blew out all the candles making a wish. I wish that my family stays safe while I'm gone today.

"Thanks guys." Ben said.

"What was your wish?" Asked Ben's younger brother excitedly.

"If I told you, then it wouldn't come true now would it." Ben said, ruffling his little brother's hair.

"Would you like a piece of cake?" Asked his mom.

"No thanks. I'm gonna take a jog." Ben replied.

"Ok."

Ben headed for the door when he heard his father's voice call out. It stopped him dead in his tracks.

"Oh, Ben, the station called today. They need you down there by twelve."

"Ok." Ben yelled back. He opened the door and headed down the street. Ben ran down 21st street and up a small hill. After about seven minutes and turned a street corner and heard commotion come from an alleyway. He stopped jogging to listen in more carefully.

"Give it to me!" Shouted a man's voice.

"Just take it! Take it! Please don't hurt me." Cried out a female voice.
