Say Something

They say silence is gold

But this habit has become a routine

The saying has grown so old

And so has the image in the scene

Looking in the mirror

I see a reflection

I thougth the image would be clearer

But I've no connection

I see a figure so hollow

Almost soulless

A knot in his throat can't be swallowed

He looks so hopeless

It's obvious he has much to say

But no words can't escape

He has a feeling that after today

This burden he'll forever have to drape

Say someting

I'm giving up on you

Just one thing

You have to break through

Anything, just don't leave me now

I don't want to lose you too

If you come

It's up to you

If you stay closed off

I'll understand that too

You've a weak soul

But you've no one else to blame

You've lost your reason to fight

You've lost your game

Say something

Anything, don't just stand there

Just one thing

Or everything, to show me you care

This silence is cold

The pain I can no longer bare

I thought I'd forever hold

But I no longer dare

Yet he stands there

Silent as the nothing he's become

And he no longer cares

Because he's no longer welcome

Broken and shattered

But not by the hands of his lover

Not that before it mattered

But now he has no will to recover

He can't somehting wise

He's already died

Drowned himself in lies

Yet he's still alive

They say no one knows yourself better than you do, but that's not true. Atleast most of the time it's not..
