The Letter

Dear everyone,

My name is Sunny, I have lived in this town my whole life. I was a naughty child, I would sneak out, get in trouble at school, and I even punched a kid in the face. My parents decided that every time I got in trouble or did something "against" their rules I would be punished. My father would use his old work belt. I would get hit in the back with it every time I would come home late, get an F on a test, or go outside for "too" long. That started when I was seven and it has never stopped. Three years ago my mother shot herself in our upstairs bathroom fifteen minutes before I would arrive home from school. I spent all night on the floor holding her, not calling the police once. My father came home from work and blamed my mother's death on me. And I believed him and I still do to this day. Two weeks later I turned 15 and that's when things got really bad. He raped and beat me be for a week straight. He has raped me for the past three years and I can't stop it. Every month, week, day, hour, and second I think about how I am nothing to my family. I was made to be slowly killed by my own family. I get beaten so bad that I get sent to the hospital from school. I'm not allowed to see doctors anymore because he thinks they will figure it out. The police, doctors, nurses, and even the school staff have not said a word about me. Not how I walk into school every day with bruises and scars. They don't even care when I get to the hospital. I am nothing. No one cares about me except...Alex. I have permanent scars all over my back. I am missing half of my side because my father cut it out with a pocket knife. I have lost more than half my blood before, but he still rapes me. He still beats me even if I'm at a bloody pulp. He let me rot in my own room for three days before he came in and helped me. My bedroom floor is stained with my own blood. All I'm trying to say is that I need someone to actually care for me. I need help and I ready to be helped.
