1 September 2017:

I hope you are all enjoying the release of my latest book in the Brittany Series, The Heart of Zac. It is a personal favourite of mine as it tells life from my Zac's POV.

Anyway, I wanted to back track a bit to my second book, My London Love Affair and explain why I chose London as the backdrop for this story.

Well truth be told it is a city very close to my heart. I do have family ties there but to me it is much more than that.

I'm a huge history buff. I love watching historical dramas like Downton Abbey, Mr Selfridge and Call the Midwife. I love visiting places to learn about the lives of people and how this has shaped us into the society we are today.

In my book, I did explore a little bit of Central London but I was unable to share the sheer joy and delight I felt upon my recent visit to this city.

Here are a few highlights from my trip in December 2016/January 2017. I've included some known landmarks as well as some lesser known places.

Here are the highlights of my London trip (in no particular order)

1. Victoria and Albert Museum - Brompton

There are many lovely museums in London but my favourite is definitely the V & A Museum

There are many lovely museums in London but my favourite is definitely the V & A Museum. For those who know their Royal history, the museum was named after Queen Victoria and her consort Prince Albert. A true Royal love story way before William and Kate.

Whilst there are many wonderful exhibits here, I guess what I especially love about this place are the costume displays.

Yes! I paid £12 to go and look at underwear

Yes! I paid £12 to go and look at underwear. Why? I don't know maybe cause I love how clothing styles and ideas of modesty have changed throughout the ages. It was a fascinating display. Can you imagine wearing what was essentially a metal cage (bustle) all in the name of fashion! Well that's what women used to do. 👙

2. Roupell Street - Waterloo.
