Q: I'm like super depressed I can't really sleep, I can't really eat, I get very sad all the time and sometimes I think the world would be a better place without me so what should I do? I don't want to tell anyone I know because they might take me to a therapist and make me take medication

My depression started when I broke up with my ex Issy and I didn't feel complete anymore and I was really sad then I moved and went to a different school and it didn't help that my friends stopped talking to me and now I just keep thinking about him and all the mistakes I made and I think their my fault and I think my parents don't love me and I feel disconnected and it doesn't help that people talk about me

A: Being depressed about a breakup is reasonable, but don't let it get to your head. Saying "the world would be a better place without me" is a terrible thing to say. You are an amazing person. Blaming yourself is just going to make things worse. I would keep in touch with friends, parents, and other adults in your life. If your friends stopped talking to you, talk to other respectful peers, and just stay in touch with them.

If your scared about going to a therapist, I would first talk to other people that you know, and see if they can help you out. If things get too much out of hand, then I would talk to a therapist. Therapist are there to help you get back to society and have fun and be independent. It's okay to be worried about the medications, but therapist can really change a person's life and make them see a different perspective. I would meet with a therapist if things were out of hand. I hope this advice works for you, and that you find happiness..
