(M/N's PoV)

It had been worth the long flight from (country) as here I was, standing outside the workplace I had been dreaming of ever since I was a child.

My eyes widened when I opened the doors, my eyes gliding over the visitor entrance. I mean, I could finally be a marine biologist in a one of the larest aquariums in the world! The inside of the building was absolutely gorgeous.

I ventured inside the rooms filled with fish and marine creatures of all species, my eyes lighting up as I did so. I'd never seen such amazing sea animals in my whole life. It was a dream come true!

The whole aquarium was shut so there was nobody else there except me, I thought. Just as I thought as such, I bumped into a figure, taller than me.

"S-Sorry! I didn't mean to!" I apologised. I should've scolded myself for stuttering.

The boy looked down at me and chuckled, resting his large hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry." He smiled and shook his head. "You that new guy?"

I nodded, mimicking the friendly and trustworthy smile. "And you are?" I replied, trying not to seem rude but kind of seeming rude.

"Kim Taehyung, the janitor of this place. I'm new too, but I'll show you around."

This Taehyung dude seemed nice enough, and I just had this feeling that we'd get along as good friends. For once I didn't feel lonely.

"Come on, let me show you around."

I followed after him quickly, eager to see everything. My E/C eyes scanned absolutely all I know is there, soaking in the blue beauty that contained the creatures that I oh-so-love.

"How long have you worked here?" I asked as I trotted alongside him.

"Just under a week. You quickly learn your way around though." He opened his arms in a grand gesture.

I grinned at him and he returned the same goofy action.

"But I have you ask, M/N."

I tilted my head and nodded. "Mmm?"

"Why are you here so early? Your shift starts at 10 am. I'm the only night shifter." He explained.

"I guess I just wanted to check the place so I could get used to it." I spoke with a cheesy smile. "But if you could show me where the lab is, I'd greatly appreciate it!"

"Of course, but it's only 6 am."

He did have a valid point but I guessed I would have time to set up all my equipment and hopefully meet some of the creatures I'd be working with.

"I know." I laughed. "Lead the way."

Taehyung showed me to my personal lab room and mopped the floor quickly before I entered. He cleaned in the background while I began to unpack my suitcase of equipment.

I read my schedule on my notice board with a smile.

Shift Routine

10:00am - Check up on each animal.

11:00am - Research & Study assigned topic.

10:00pm - Check up on each animal.

11:00pm - Shift End.

At this rate, I could work with every animal. Sweet! Some of these species I haven't even worked with yet.

I didn't even realise that my eyes were wide and practically sparkling until Taehyung pointed it out to me with a chuckle.

"Why are you so facinated with all of this?" He asked. "Your eyes are so wide!"

I pouted and shot him a playfully angry look. "Hey... This is the first job and probably the only job I've ever wanted."

"Alien number 2." Taehyung teased and laughed, walking over to me. He flicked my forehead.

"Hey! Wants that supposed to mean?" I puffed out my cheeks.

"My friends call me Alien so you can as well, now that you're Alien number 2." He grinned and wiped my counter tops. His wristclock beeped and he glanced down at it.

8:00am

"I need to be going, my shift has just ended. See you tonight, Alien number 2."

"Okay, Taehyung." I beamed and waved.

My mind was still racing and I couldn't seem to calm it down. This whole experience was just so amazing! Maybe I should get back to exploring more of the aquarium.
