On one of the least busiest weekdays I spent working, Luke had walked into the Nursery and asked if anyone was free to babysit that night. An odd request, but all of the teachers liked Luke. They were more than happy to provide.

They didn't just like Luke, they loved him. And to some extent, so did I. I found him funny, interesting, and in many more obvious ways than one, strong.

He was a single father, and a great one at that. That concept alone wasn't really easiest thing to come by in the little town that we lived.

I admired the way he worked from nine to five every single day, yet still had time to spend with his kids. I admired how he never let a single awkward moment pass, because his personality was so easy-going that it was actually probably hard for him to.

I admired him, and I was more than thrilled to work for him.

If only I knew what I was getting myself into.
