2. The Deed

The next day

Omkara and Gauri sat at their favorite hide-out place, which was actually a tree house they had created so that they could hide from Rudy when they were kids, who used to annoy them by playing various pranks as they were his sole target.

"So, how are we gonna do this?" Gauri asked, trying to control her heartbeat as it continued to beat fast.

Omkara had called her to their Tree-house in the evening after college, where he continued to pretend as if "The talk" didn't take place between them the previous night and they hadn't kissed.

"Rule number one - We are friends; And after this arrangement between us ends, we will remain friends. Number two - No having feelings for each other. Number Three - No Dating. Number Four - If we have feelings for someone else or... each other then this arrangement breaks. Number Five - No one gets to know about this except ourselves. Number Six - We do this four days a week. Monday to Thursday. Well, that's it. If you have any ideas you can add." Omkara said, as he looked at Gauri, whose cheeks were burning red from the embarassment she was feeling.

"Hey... hey, please don't feel shy with me. We have witnessed the most embarassing moments of our lives. We've got nothing to hide from each other. Like I said, you can back out from this if you want. I am not forcing you." Omkara said softly as he turned himself towards her and caressed her face.

Gauri looked right into his eyes and said, " No. I... I do want to do this. It's just... I am scared."

"Scared about what?" Omkara asked softly.

"Scared of losing you... um.. I mean our - our friendship. I am scared that... this will change everything." Gauri whispered, looking away from him.

"Gauri, I promise you. I'll make sure that nothing changes between us. Pinky promise." Omkara said as he lifted his right little finger towards her, making her laugh.

"That's all I want." Gauri said, smiling at him as she wrapped her right little finger around his.

A couple days later (Saturday)

Gauri laid next to Omkara in his bedroom, both of them spent as they tried to catch their breath. She turned towards him and said, "Well, according to your rules we weren't supposed to do this right now.. You broke a rule."

"Well... I just didn't want to miss this opportunity of having the house to myself. And I wanted your first time to be special... Not just anyway... anyhow or anywhere." Omkara said, as he kissed her left shoulder.

"The rules..." Gauri whispered, as she felt herself getting turned on again.

"We will make a new rule. That we can have sex everyday, whenever we want and wherever we wish. You OK with that?" Omkara whispered as he continued to kiss on her neck...

"OK..." Gauri whispered back, as she stretched her neck allowing him to reach more of her skin.

Gauri was lying on her bed thinking over her relation status with her - what? She frowned as she came to a realization. She and Omkara had been going at it for months and no one has had any doubts about them... To the world they were just... friends. And nothing more. To Omkara, she was his sex partner and best friend. Yes, despite their relation upgrade they continued to be each other's support system like they were before and shared stuffs between them.. But.. she felt incomplete. Uneasy, to be exact. She wanted something... more. She couldn't pin-point the exact moment when she started to feel like this... when she started to look forward to their intimate moments... to spending time with him, just talking. When her whole world started to revolve around him.

But he had also said, that the moment one started to have feelings for each other... the deal was off.

But what did he expect? She had willingly given him her body. She was bound to feel something beside pleasure.

How could he be... so - so nonchalant? In the school, they pretended to not even know each other because of two different social circles. He was the Bad Boy whereas she was the Good Prim Girl famous, not only because she was rich but also for her straight-A grades and her extra-curricular activities in the entire college.

Even though she wanted more, she was scared to lose what they had. Their friendship... their intimacy. She would wait.. for him to realize. To hopefully fall in love with her.

She came out of her thoughts as she heard a sound coming from her window. She looked up and gasped when she saw Omkara hanging outside, supporting himself against the tree outside her window.

He knocked again, asking her to open the window so he could get inside.

She quickly leapt from the bed and ran to her window. After opening it and letting him in, Omkara stood panting with a cheeky grin on his face.

"You - What - I mean, what are you doing here?" Gauri gasped out as she continued to gape at him.

She couldn't believe he had just climbed the tree to come into her bedroom!

"I was just passing by... and then I thought why not meet you?" Omkara shrugged, smiling at her impishly.

"So... OK.. now that you've met me... you can go now. If my parents come to know that you are here..." Gauri whisper-shouted at him.

"Relax. They treat me as their own son. They won't suspect anything. My parents have gone along with them to some party. It will be quite some time before they are back..." Omkara said, grinning at her, as he caressed her cheeks.

"Om... what are you doing? What if they come home soon?" Gauri stammered as she tried to get a grip on her senses.

"Sshh.... I have asked mom to give me a warning before they return. You know, how much my dad despises when I return home late..." Omkara said as he brought her closer and holding her at her waist.

"Oh..." Gauri, breathed out and threw her head back as Omkara ran his nose along her collar bone.

"So... we've got some time and I would like to make use of it..." Omkara said as he suddenly lifted her in his arms.

"OK..."Gauri said back, as she held his shoulders for balance.

As Omkara laid her down on her bed, she knew that whatever she had hoped - for him to fall in love with her - before his arrival, it was just a pipe dream and nothing more.
