The irregular ricochet beating of my heart cascades from the corner of the room, bouncing off of every ceramic tile. My breath trips, stumbles and falls as my tremoring hands untangle from my knees and reach towards my head. What my ears covered with the sounds of ringing and numbness was the sudden silence filling every millimetre length of air. A terrifying gash dominating my forearm is the last thing I saw before my head was shoved into the dark oblivion.
