Glass Houses

A long day's walk into your house

Where glass walls won't hide your secrets.

Unless you can see birds passing by

Then a secret, you can keep it.

Who has a view into your home,

The Angels rushing by in the wind?

They also see just what you don't

In the shadows lies the sins.

I see them flying by,

But I worry not.

For I am the closest to you,

And my heart is right on spot.

I know that you can feel me,

As you look around in your empty space.

If only I knew you wouldn't scream

I'd let you touch my face.

But my wicked side needs more,

As there is fun in a surprise.

So I follow you until you go to bed,

I'm just waiting for you to close your eyes.

Why stare into the dark?

Only my shadow outlines the light.

Fall asleep my precious one,

So I can have an exciting night.
