I woke up to my alarm loudly beeping, I looked over to the clock and the hands were at 7am. I groaned and slammed my fists on my alarm and lay there, hungry. A few minutes later shouting was coming from the hallway and I could her loud running footsteps. I reached over to my owl. and were she was perched on the desk spreading her wings out. I stroked her and whispered. "Olivia, it will be better if we stay out of this, right?" She hooted and I giggled.

I reached out for my wand next to my alarm clock and ran my fingers over the carved wood. Suddenly, I remembered why everyone was panicking, today was my apitude test. I sighed and muttered a spell, letting my wand light up the room. I had been excited for this day since I was 6 but now I wished, I wished that it wasn't happening. A felt a shiver on my neck and I launched my self out of bed. I dashed over to the mirror and stared at myself. My green dyed hair was up in a bun but it was a mess. I reached up and pulled out the pins and the bubble. I let go and my long hair fell to my knees.

I reached out for my white Candor clothes, my wand and my my friendship bracelet. I looked at the colours on it weaved together and then the beads with my name on it, my name Faith was printed in black. I but the bracelet over my wrist and tied it off with a knot. I walked over to the door and breathed in and out before I reached for the the door knob and pushed it open. I stood still in my tracks as I heard shouting and I saw the housekeeper fall infl front of me. I reached out my hand for her and lifted her up. I looked at her face and there was a smile. "You don't have to put so much effort into this, it is just an ordinary day." I said to her desperately. She laughed and I gave her my devil stare. "Don't be silly! This is important and anyway your parents told me to do this!" She replied.

In a hurry she looked up and down the corridor and ran off until she was out of sight I stepped out and groaned. Since we got a housekeeper I hated it. I never thought of the need for it, we might be a rich family but we had no need for a house keeper. I walked towards the kitchen and I stopped when I saw on the table a cake with chocolate frosting. My mouth dropped open when I read it. Happy Test Day, Remember, we love you no matter what! I looked up at their smiling faces, as I sat down I looked at the table and it was full of waffles, pancakes, sausages and eggs. I looked up at my parents and they both nodded at the same time. I quickly reached for my knife and fork and scoffed my face. Once I had finished, my parents packed me some cake for snack and the left over food for lunch.

I waved them bye and I saw a single tear drip down my mother's cheek. Just as I open the door I heard my mother whisper. "She is all grown up!" I stepped out quickly to see my friends staring at me happily.
