I woke up to the sweet sound of birds chirping. Just kidding. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I lifted my head and groaned. It was 6:00 in the morning, on a Monday. Fuck you too school. I hit the snooze button and it shut up. I stared at my ceiling asking myself is it worth it getting up.

"ANDREA GET IT UP I MADE QUESADILLAS PARA QUE COMAS!" Said my mom from downstairs.

Okay it is worth it.

Twenty minutes later and I'm showered and ready for school. Since it's the first day I decided to wear a mint blue dress with flats and straightened hair obviously. Take note kids this is the only day I'm dressing up. For the rest of the year I'm rocking the homeless look.

I guess you if you saw me you would describe me as normal, average. I have black curly hair that riches the middle of my back but when straightened goes a little longer than normal. I have dark brown eyes that from far away look black. I'm 5'2 which means I'm short but who cares. It's the shorter people that are most dangerous. With makeup on I sure looked like 17 year old girl not a 12 year old child.

I grab my bookbag and head downstairs. Once I reached the kitchen the amazing scent of my mom's quesadillas hit me. God how I love quesadillas, and food in general.

"Mija you look so pretty! Did you put makeup on? Oh my let me take a picture of you! My niña's first day of senior year!" My mom said while taking off her purple apron. Her black curly hair was in a bun and she was still in her pajamas.

"Gracias ma, and yeah just a little bit of makeup no mucho, and why so you can post it on Facebook so the family you oh so love can see me?" I asked as I sat down to eat. Having a Latina mom meant that everything that happened would end up on Facebook so all of our family could see, even if meant the members you didn't like.

"Of course it's for Facebook! I'll put a good caption and a picture of when you were little! I can already imagine what your tia's are going to say!" She said excitedly, way too much for my liking. By the time she was done talking I had eaten three quesadillas, well two and a half.

"Okay aver get up no stand over there. Perfect now pose. Bien pues, Andrea stop being childish pose like 17 year old girl not like a 5 year old! ANDREA LUNA GARCIA OLIVAR PONTE BIEN!" I loved making my mom mad. I posed like a "mature person" kissed her goodbye and headed for school.

Ten minutes later and it was 7:20 meaning I had time to look for my classes and set things up in my locker. As I walked into the school many people started waving at me and asking how was summer. It may seem like I'm popular but I'm not. I just like to talk to everyone and they get that which means I probably have talked to everyone in the school at least once. Everyone except the morons that think they are to good for any of us. Too good my ass.

A week earlier the school had sent out our schedules and locker number.

I had found my locker in five minutes and found that it was on the first floor, all of my classes were. Thank you God, you know how I detest stairs.

I was listening to music while arranging my books when I felt someone tap my shoulder.

I turned around and immediately scowled. It was one of those people who thought they were royalty or some shit.

"God damn Andrea is that you?" Ashton said. I know Ashton Irwin was the first person that came to my mind but this Ashton was far from Irwin.

"Yes it's me, who'd you think it was?" I asked as I checked the time it was 7:40 and the teachers here were strict, meaning we had to be in class at 7:45 if not we'll be counted tardy. Me being me, I can't have that.

"You look different." He said as he eyes me up and down.

Disgusting.

"Puberty tends to do that to a person." I said as I turned around and shut my locker. I checked the time, I have two minutes.

He looked at me confused. I bet he doesn't even know what it means. Idiot.

"Well if that's all then goodbye see you around Ashton." I said as I walked away.

I started to walk away when he shouted: "Damn ma that ass though!"

The cringe. I know.

---------

Three classes later and it's time for lunch. Bless this holy time.

As I approach the cafeteria I hear the loud noise of people taking and see people making there way to there group of friends. Must be nice. I don't have friends, well no let me rephrase that. I love to talk to people get to know them but to an extent to have some type of real friendship, nope never have gotten there. I usually eat outside or with the "lonely" people.

As soon as I get my food I head out towards the outside so I can eat at a picnic table. Before I make it out the door I hear my name being called.

"Andrea come sit with us!" Ashton says loudly making everyone look at me. If I could blush I would have been tomato red. All of his friends proceeded to look at me too. Those were the people who thought they were too good for school, for anyone. They didn't date anyone here just one night stands leaving broken hearts behind.

"Not today Ashton I have stuff to do." I answered. Everyone's mouth hung open. What? Could I not reject his ass?

"To do what? Read a book, do what nerds like you do?" The head of the group said. His name was Greyson. I didn't know his last name. All I knew was that he was a class A asshole.

I went to look at him but the minute I looked into his blue eyes I felt a jolt run through my body. He seemed unfazed.

"So what? Anything is better than what you do." And with that I smiled at him and walked out.

Letting all hell break loose.
