Heyleigh's POV

"Where do we go now now?" Kellin ask and turns to face me, "I'm pretty sure no one else survived, so there's no point and waiting around here. Even if someone did survive, they probably won't come here." His expression changes. He must be thinking about Copeland. "We could stop at that house over there"-I point to a fairly large house- "And lets just hope for the best. I'm pretty sure that if we survived someone else has to still be out there," I pause and look around to make sure no walkers are around, "And they probably have Copeland." I say.

A flash of hope forms in his eyes, then quickly goes back to sadness. "Come on, we can talk about it when we clear out that house." I say and grab his hand, making him come along.

"Ugh, alright." He says and starts to walk next to me. "You should know by now that I'm not gong to let you die and that I hate seeing you hurt." I say. We're already half way to the house. "Yeah, I know." He says smiling. His smile always make me blush.

We make it to the house. Luckily, the door isn't locked and we just walk inside. The house is mostly clean. "What the- how?" I say looking around. Kellin gives me a weird, but cute look. "How is this place so. . . Clean?" I assure him. He shrugs, "I don't know." He says and pulls out a knife. Shoot, how could I forget? I pull out my knife and start to look around.

There is a kitchen, living room, bathroom and one bedroom on the ground floor, plus there's an upstairs. "Should I go check upstairs and you down here?" Kellin ask. "Umm. . . No, it will be easier to help each other if we're both down here and a walker attacks." I say. He agrees and we each take one half of the floor we're on.

I walk into the bedroom and find nothing dangerous, just a nice, master bedroom, just looking at it, it was a parents room. I start to look threw the dresser drawers to hopefully find something useful. I find clean-enough- clothes, first aid, bullets, a pistol, and a note book with nothing in it. I walk out of the room and into the bathroom.

I find another med-kit, painkillers, and other useful pills. I walk over to the bathtub. "Come on, come on, please let there be water." I say. I turn the handle on the faucet. Warm water immediately runs out of the faucet. "YES!" I scream. Kellin quickly runs into the room his knife ready. The he nearly drops his knife as he realizes that I'm fine. "Are you alright?" Kellin ask, worryingly. "More than alright." I say and hold my hand under the running water. "Fuck yeah!" Kellin says excitedly. I turn off the water. "We should check the rest of the house for stuff before we shower." I say.

"True, but if there was a walker in here, it would most likely be down here already considering how loud you screamed." He says. I glare at him playfully. "What? It's true!" He says, "Lets just chill for a bit, I found lots of water and chips. Hopefully there's a generator so we can play some movies or something." Kellin says. "Yeah, that would be great." I say, imaging myself leaning against his shoulder watching older movies as if the world hasn't gone to complete shit.

We both walk outside, luckily it's still pretty bright, and we both walk to the back of the house. It doesn't take us long to find a generator and some gas. I pour the gas into the thing and Kellin closes it. He grabs the string and pulls it until the machine roars to life. "Fuck yes!" I say in a quiet yell. We hurry back inside.

"Time to find some good movies!" I say and hurry over to a shelf full of movies and Kellin does the same. "What type of movie?" I ask. Searching each shelf. "Whatevers good." He replies. I start to read some of the names aloud, "Legend, In Between Red & Green, Mark Of The Beast, Unsubscribed, The Missing Link, The Natemare Theory, The Legacy, Lullaby,  and I hope you know most of these are horror movies." I say. He chuckles, "That last one has a long title." He says. I roll my eyes and laugh, "Whatever, I choose Mark Of The Beast, I only seen the trailer and it looks amazing." I say and pull out the movie.

I take it out of the box and head over to the tv and place the disc in the DVD player. I turn the tv on and turn around. Kellin plops down on the couch with a smile on his face. I fall next to him with a long sigh. The movie then starts.

~halfway through the movie~

Kellin's POV

The movie is only half way over and Heyleigh is already asleep. I brush her hair out of her face and place it behind her ear with my fingers. my arm tightens around her. "I don't want to loose you like everyone else." I whisper. She shivers and curls up more, trying to get warm. There's a blanket on the back of the couch. I gently pull it off and cover her up with the soft blanket, not trying to wake her. I kiss her forehead. "Stay, for tonight, if you want to, I could show you, what my dreams are made of, as I'm dreaming of your face, I've been away for a long time, such a long time, and I miss you there, I can't imagine being anywhere else, I can't imagine being anywhere else but here. How the hell did you ever pick me, honestly, cause I can sing you a song, but words can't express your beauty." I sing, brushing back every strand of hair that falls in her face.

I stay here until morning, watching over her making sure she stays safe.
