Chapter 8

Jasper's P.O.V

I don't get it. Why would my little kitten do such a thing?

And now I stand here feeling guilty as ever and my wolf itching to help my little mate in heat.

I flinched when I realized that Hope was leaning on my shoulder.

I moved away and grabbed the paperwork from her. She leaned in to kiss my cheek but I swiftly moved out of the way.

She sneered but followed me towards my office. I went inside and closed the door behind me, locking it.

I sighed and put the paperwork down. What's wrong with me? What's wrong with Cali? Is it me? Or her?

Calico's P.O.V

I sighed finally having some sort of relief. Pey had run a cold bath and put ice cubes in it.

I was ok...for now. I sighed and thought to myself

"Why? Why me? That stupid little black kitten"

I tensed up when I heard a voice say quickly in my head

"Nala! Calico! Please don't listen to Jasper! I'm Jakob, his wolf! He doesn't believe me when I say you guys didn't do anything!"

I felt content listening to the voice and Nala answered him

"Thank you! On behalf of both of us please bring him to his senses! I'll see you soon love!"

"I promise I will my love"

I whimpered and begged the two

"Please don't act all lovely. I'm sorry just please don't. I just want Jasper"

I tucked my head into my knees and started to cry. I heard Jakob whimper and they exchanged goodbyes.

"I'm sorry Cali"

Nala said. I sighed and responded

"It's ok. Let's just hope he comes back"

She agreed with me and went to the back of my mind leaving me a crying mess in the bath.

I heard a knock at the door and Pey's voice came through

"Can I come in Cali?"

I said a weak yes and Pey came in. She spoke softly to me

"Jasper's wolf took control over him five minutes ago and refuses to give him back power intill he sees you"

I smiled and nodded. Nala was begging to take control which I answered that I would in a little bit.

Pey handed me an outfit and I changed as fast I could hoping to at least have one half of Jasper still love me.

I followed Pey out of her room and towards the door at the end of the hallway.

She knocked lightly and a faint "come in" was heard. She opened it for me and closed the door once I stood in the office.

"Jakob?"

I questioned. I looked to see Jasper but with darker colored eyes which could only mean Jakob was in control.

He smiled softly at me and hugged me tightly.

"I'm sorry for what Jasper is doing"

I nodded and responded

"It's not your fault and I'm also guessing you want to speak to Nala"

He smiled sheepishly and nodded. I giggled for the first time in a while and let Nala take over.

I watched from my head as Nala quickly pulled Jakob into a hug.

I smiled to myself. Then let a tear fall. Jakob fell to the floor clutching his head.

Nala rushed over to him but he hugged her and said

"Jasper is gaining control. I'll see you soon love"

Nala hugged back and his eyes flickered back to their baby blue.

Jasper released the hug and growled at Nala.

"What do you want Calico"

She bared her teeth and growled back

"Not Calico"

His eyes faltered and he asked confused

"Nala?!?"

She sneered and said

"Come back to us before we all lose her"

He growled and Nala left knowing I wouldn't be able to face Jasper.

Once we got to Pey's room she let me have control. I fell to the ground crying and screaming.

Burning and betrayal. Great feelings right?

I carefully picked myself up and made my way towards the bathroom.

Haven't done this in awhile. I cleaned it and hid the thing when I heard Peyton enter.

"Cali? You in here?"

I opened the bathroom and she saw my tear stained face.

She pulled me into a hug and asked quietly

"What happened?"

I explained Nala and Jakob's talk and what happened with Jasper.

She sighed and pulled me closer. We stood there hugging for awhile till we both decided to get some rest.

I fell into a dreamless sleep writhing in burning pain.
