Chapter 16

Calico's P.O.V

I stayed silent. What else could I say?

I sighed heavily and took out the three viles.

I walked in front of my mother and touched her forehead.

The stone crumbled to dust and the orange mist floated back into the bottle.

I did the same with my brother and sister. I tucked the bottles away in my bag and turned towards the pack.

They were all starring at me except Jasper who smiled sympathetically at me.

He engulfed me in a hug as I clutched his shirt.

"I'm sorry about your family"

He whispered softly. I cried silently into his chest.

I needed this. Someone to hold onto when everyone else would stare.

I looked over his shoulder to see the pack smiling at us.

I smiled softly and waved my hand to let them continue their day.

They resumed what they were doing as Jasper led me upstairs.

"What was that!"

Jasper quietly yelled.

I winced. Not the reaction I had hoped but the one I expected.

"That was my family"

He looked at me

"Was the Rouge Pack harboring a witch?!"

I growled and took a step forward

"If you mean me then yes but don't think I'm some prissy witch. I'm a sorceress"

He growled and shot back

"And I'm an Alpha. Big whoop. What makes this so special?"

I looked at him, hurt and took a step back. I whispered softly

"That's was my mum,brother,and sister. Lily reminded me of her. They were cursed when I became a sorceress...don't think I did this by choice"

He looked at me and asked quietly

"Then what happened?"

I felt the silent tears stream down my cheeks as I started my story

*FlashBack*

"Come on Mommy!" Eva yelled. My mom laughed and ran after my siblings.

We ran towards the frozen lake and sat down to get our skates on.

My smile faltered as Eva stepped onto the ice without skates.

"Eva!" My mum scolded. My brother got up and stepped onto the ice to get her.

He followed her to the middle of the lake and my mum sighed and went after them.

I watched as the cracks followed her feet till the middle of the lake broke.

Three bodies slipped and one appeared.

"Help me!"

I cried at the woman and reached my hand into the freezing water.

She stepped behind me and put her hand on my shoulder.

"Do you want to save them?"

"Help me! Please!"

I cried out in dismay.

"Very well"

The water turned white at my touch and three bodies floated from the deep.

The white water carried them onto the frozen lake and then retreated back into the water.

The hole froze over and my stoned family stood in front of me.

"What did you do?!?"

I screamed at the woman. She smirked and stepped back

"It's more like what did you do dear"

With that she was gone and three viles stood in her place...

Jasper wiped the streaming tears and hugged me close.

"I'm so sorry"

He whispered. I nodded and hugged him back.

"We can figure this out. We can bring them back"
