Chapter 41: Soul

I'm having lunch with my fellow colleagues at a nearby restaurant, the project we were working for last 1 year we are finally done, it was a little celebration for finishing the project it's a recreational centre. We were eating and they were having fun cracking jokes, apparently, I am the only girl with 5 men honestly they treat me like there friend.
Suddenly I felt like someone is watching me I looked around but no one was around, after a few minutes the person I least expect at this time is here "Corey". Wait how can he be here he supposed to be in Hawaii
Corey: Hello everyone
Hello all men in unison
Celena: hello, I waved I could see he wasn't in a good mood. He came closer and kissed me instead I kissed his cheek.
Corey: can I take my girlfriend if you guys are done with your chitchat.
Ben: I guess we are, we will discuss other things later in the office. Have fun.
Celena: bye guys see you at the office. I bid goodbye to everyone, Corey pulled me into his car
Corey: Mike could you wait outside. He turned his back to me
Celena: why? Is anything wrong, I try to calm down the situation? I knew he was angry but I didn't know why and for what. He opened the car door and we sit back seat of the car. I smiled at him, not believing he is here. I wanted to say I miss you but then 
Corey: I can't believe you were actually having fun and lunch with those morons. I was calling you like crazy and what I see is you having fun with others. I didn't expect him to say this. 
Celena : Excuse me, I said dumbfounded but the realisation hit me, he is talking about my colleagues. They are my colleagues and we weren't on a date! If you want to state that. And I left my phone at the office, the battery was dead. I calmed myself
Corey: you should have asked me about...
Celena : why would I do that!! It's not like I was sneaking out and having dates and parties with other guys. You were in Hawaii. He sounded so controlling I snapped.
Corey: yeah off course the same line, I didn't know. I got done with work and came early I was missing you I thought you also? But No, you were having fun! he snapped back while controlling his anger
Celena : how would I know you were done the last time I talked to you, you said you still are not done yet. And stop screaming I'm not deaf. 
Corey: off course you aren't deaf!! I wanted to surprise you but instead, you gave me the biggest surprise.
Celena : Corey why do you sound like I cheated behind your back with those guys how dare you to think so cheap of me... .my emotions are on 7th sky I was furious I thought I was going to burst out of anger.
Corey: from babe to Corey, WOW I didn't expect this to be like this and I am not thinking so cheap how can you say that? I love you and always will do I get it you don't love me but at least stop playing with my emotions.
Celena: who said that, in a low voice. Then why are you angry with me if you aren't thinking what I'm thinking.
Corey: don't argue Celena just stay away from those men they all are
Celena: they are my colleagues how can I be rude and sit there without talking

Corey: don't you see how they are looking at you with desire

Celena : wow I can't believe. So you don't trust me now, I see. Now I'm beyond pissed I really need to get out of here before something happens and we both regret.
Corey: where did that come from. Off course I do but I don't trust them
Celena : you know what you are just angry or something else has happened which you don't want to talk about. I understand him and can see through him he's angry and sad about something else.
Corey: how...
Celena : I have to go; I have a lot of work to do.
I left his car tears were dropping I wipe them real fast, sigh "how can he not trust me" I walked towards taxi sat inside and went to the office.

Corey pov
I finished my work fast I was missing Celena  I called the pilot to ready the jet we will be leaving now it's 9 in the morning I was trying her phone but her phone wasn't going or it was transferring me to voice mail I'm so eager to see and embrace her.
I landed New York I called her phone it's still not going, I called her sectary "she told me she out". I called Max to track her down after 30 mins he called me and said she's at a restaurant having lunch with some men. My blood was boiling now, I was at her apartment I rushed towards the restaurant what I see she is having a good time and she's the only girl with all those hungry wolves. I went towards them controlling my anger I greeted them she was shocked to see me there I excused them and took her to my car.
We argued and she didn't seem to like the idea of controlling her, all I was trying to tell her to stay away from them but instead it got into some crazy argument. Instead, she said the things I was least expecting

Celena : you know what you are just angry or something else has happened which you don't want to talk about.
Corey: how... can see understand me so well, I was angry and sad about the project, the community isn't willing to show positive support and rioting that the project shouldn't happen, it's ruining people's life and neighbourhood. She left from there, Mike told me she cried and left in a taxi.

Fuck I made her cry, it's because I was scared she might just leave me and jealous of those guys, I can't imagine my life without her she's the one who makes me feel the colours that no one has ever made me feel. Loving her makes my life so beautiful and I want my everyday life filled with loving her. I decided to go to bar to get drunk I stopped drinking because she doesn't like people who drink a lot and she fears diseases related to them. I am at our usual bar at private place Zane isn't around he's with Cyrena. I was drinking some girl approached me I didn't give her any attention she was pulling stunts to get my attention but my whole mind was thinking about Celena. "Hey Corey how about we have some fun tonight" I looked at her disgustingly, I ignored her but she came closer try kissing me I pushed her she tripped and glass bottle fell on my hand.

"I hate you asshole, what does that girl have I don't" seriously "DON'T EVEN COMPARE YOURSELF WITH HER" I shouted, I left the place blood was dripping from my hand.

"Mike to Celena's place"
