I was laying on your lap
I was just there,
eyes closed, trying to fall asleep
you were watching a late night show,
caressing my head with your hand
you muted the show
just so I wouldn't be disturbed
I appreciated all the little things you did for me
I snuggled closer to you
you laughed and softly rubbed my cheek with the back of your finger
I giggled which made you laugh more
you started kissing my face all over
in such a cute way
I couldn't stop giggling
tingles went up and down my back
it was 2 am
the doorbell rang
