It's Monday morning. And I don't feel like going to school.
"Trevor honey, are ready for school?"
"Mom I'm not feeling well." I reply with a fake groggy voice.
I hear footsteps approaching my door, and I get into character, adding a cough to spice it up.
"Honey, you came out of my vagina. I know when you sick or not." She smirks
Damn.
"I don't want to go to school, I am not in the learning mood. I just want to sleep."
"Speak to me." She demands already getting comfortable on my bed.
"Yesterday I was supposed to meet Kate, but she didn't show up. She stood me up again. Is there something wrong with me? Does she still love me? Is she.. Is she going to break up with me?"
"Oh honey, I'm so sorry. There isn't anything wrong with you. Did she give you a reason?"
"Something about James being sick. Is... Is he okay?" I ask in fear.
"As far as I know, he didn't come in." She states.
"Mom... Could Kate be possibly lying to me, because she wants to break up with me? This is the second time she blows me off and we haven't had a decent conversation in a while."
"I can't answer that, mainly because I'm not her. You should speak to her. After you come back from school. Now get ready and I love you." She kisses me on my forehead.
This is going to be a long day.
