Renee's POV

Damn, I feel like I was run over by a football team. My head hurts like a bitch. I slowly opened my eyes to see if I had any recollection of what happened. From what I could see, the room was small with a somewhat roundish ceiling. I tried to get up but moved a little too fast and dizziness swept over me in an instant. Falling back down onto the bed, head pounding, I shut my eyes so the room didn't spin as much. I was feeling quite nauseated now. Trying again, I stood slowly this time with wobbly legs. My ribs hurt like hell as well as my wrist and leg. I went to take a step forward and cried out in pain as I fell to the floor, landing on my wrist. I could not help the tears that sprang to my eyes and trickled down my cheeks.

The next thing I know, the door is slammed open and warm arms are encircling me. I was instantly off the ground and cradled into a warm embrace. My eyes were too blurry to see who was holding me.

"Facile, amore mio."

Warm minty breath fanned my face. I was picked up from the ground and lowered onto a lap. A strong hand gently pushed down on my head until it was resting in the crook of a neck, but not just any neck.

It was his neck.

Levi's POV

We were talking quietly amongst ourselves so as to not disturb Renee. My love. How I have waited for her for a long time.

I cannot believe I dropped her. I am ashamed of myself.

I was deep in my thoughts when a loud cry sliced through the air.

I bolted out of the main room and into one of the bedrooms in the back. I slammed the door open to see Renee on the ground weeping. It tore my heart apart just to look. I felt ashamed of myself. It was my fault that she was in pain. I tried not to drop her on the stairs. I was just astonished that she gave me a wedgie. I have to say, she has quite a strong grip.

I ran over to her and wrapped my arms around her. Picking her up I carried her back to the bed and sat down, settling her on my lap. My hand gently pushed down on her head until it was resting in the crook of my neck.

I cradled her like that for a while, listening to the beat of her heart as she slowly lolled back to sleep.

I sat her back onto the bed, tucking her in before I headed to the door. I walked back down the hallway to where the guys were waiting in the main room. As I enter both their heads snap to me, their eyes asking the same question.

"She's okay."

They both exhale, relaxing back into their chairs. I headed over to the planes bar and grabbed a glass of Scotch. Drinking it in one gulp, I slammed the glass back onto the bar top. The burning sensation soothed my nerves.

Looking back over my shoulder at the guys, I noticed their eyes were still trained on me.

"What?" I growl.

"Nothing, nothing..." Sean and Tyler mumble, averting their eyes somewhere else.

I sat back down in the chair and closed my eyes. I could feel a headache coming on. The next thing I know, I was jolted awake by the plane touching down on the ground.

It's nice to be back home. I get up and head to the back room. As I walk in the door I notice she's still sleeping. I quietly walked in and picked her up bridal style, and as I walked out of the room she curled up closer to me.

"Beautiful mate," my wolf says to me.

I couldn't agree more. She was perfect.
