Part II • Chapter X

Start from the beginning

I learned quickly that Sean was a cuddler. At some point during the night he had thrown one leg over me, which trapped me to the bed. The soft sounds of light snoring above my head indicated that he was still asleep.

However, the moment couldn't last. After all, I had to get up to take care of some womanly needs. Curse being a woman. It wasn't like I wanted to leave his arms.

I shifted slightly as I tried to escape without waking him, but Sean only pulled me to him more tightly and muttered something under his breath. I held my breath and didn't move, but he didn't wake. Good. I'd have hated to wake him up for this. Maybe I could go and sneak back in?

So I tried again as I moved even more slowly this time. I made it about six inches towards the end of the bed before I was pulled back roughly. This time I felt a telltale rumble in Sean's chest that indicated that he was awake and was laughing at me.

"Sean!" I pushed at his arm, but it didn't budge. "Let me go! I have to go to the bathroom."

"Don't leave me, you are so warm and toasty," Sean sighed contently. I felt a movement behind me and suddenly ice cold feet were pressed into my leg. "I get cold easily."

I shrieked, jumped out of the bed and spun around to see Sean smirking at me. "That was mean!" I faked my fury to attempt to distract myself from his bare chest, happy eyes and tousled hair. At that moment it took everything in me to fight against climbing back into that bed with him.

Bad Sang, you can't go molesting people.

He must have been able to tell what I was thinking because he waved an arm and beckoned to me, his eyes glittering in mirth. "Why don't you come back here, Miss Sang. We can cuddle. You look cold too."

I looked down and squealed in alarm.

There, plain as day, were my hardened nipples poking through my thin, silk nightshirt. As if the things Sean knew about me could get any more embarrassing. My face burned with heat as I covered my chest, ran to the bathroom and slammed the door against the sound of his laugh.

After I had done my business and wrapped up in the largest, thickest, fluffiest robe in the closet, I ventured back out into the living area. Sean was still on his side, and from the expectant grin on his face it was clear that he was waiting for me.

He looked at the robe and lifted an eyebrow, but didn't remark on it. "Come back here, Miss Sang."

My eyes widened and I took a step backwards. "You didn't give up on that?"

"Doctor's orders," He slowly sat up in the bed and moved until he was sitting on the edge, his legs off the side. He held out a hand to me. "You still hurt, right?"

I sighed, there was no use denying it. Darn bond. "A little." I shuffled to him and he pat his lap as I approached. "You want me to sit there?" I asked him, in mild horror.

I didn't know why it made me apprehensive, it wasn't like I hadn't sat in his, or any of the other's, laps before. However, right now we were alone in a room together and he was looking so especially attractive with his defined abdominals and strong looking chest.

Sang, stop it.

"Yes, there." Sean answered.

"Ok..." I got closer and tried to decide how he wanted me to sit, before he grabbed my hips and maneuvered me until I was sitting across his lap. "Sean!"

"Get comfortable, Pookie." He chuckled and began to run his hand up and down my back. "I may not be Silas, but I happen to know a few tricks of my own. Did you take your medication?"

I nodded, I had done that while in the bathroom.

"Can I take off this adorable fuzzy robe?" His hand slid from the back to the front of the tie, my skin tingled everywhere his hand had warmed me. "I need to touch your skin for this."

I swallowed but nodded again.

Sean was completely calm, I must not be normal at all. My heart was racing a thousand miles an hour, despite knowing that Sean was only touching me to help. There was a tug at the front of my robe and Sean moved his hands as he pulled at it, the shoulders and top half sliding down my body.

This was so wrong, I wasn't supposed feel like this.

Sean made a shushing noise and kissed the top of my head as his hand glided under my shirt and reached my lower back. I could feel his fingertips tracing my lower spine, before he slowly pressed the palm of his hand there.

I don't know what he did, but the pressure and the warmth there began to gradually ease up the pain that had been nagging at me. I moaned in relief and pressed my face into his chest. "Thank you, Dr Sean." His skin was warm, and comforting, and I was unable to stop myself from tracing random patterns into his pecs with my finger.

There was a surge of an emotion I couldn't place from him at my actions.

"Sang." Sean groaned out as shifted slightly so he could lower head to mine until our foreheads touched. "This really isn't the time. I'm an impulsive person by nature, I am delving deep into self-control that I never knew that I had."

"What do you mean?" I asked, my breath was heavy. "Doing what, doctor things?" I could only look at his lips as I spoke. They were so close, what would it be like if he kissed me? What if I kissed him first? I desperately wanted him to kiss me. I had never been kissed before...

I squirmed in his lap as I thought about what it would be like to have him kiss me - to have any of my boys kiss me. I found that I wanted it.

"This is totally not a doctor thing." He muttered. Before I could contemplate his words, his lips were on mine, shocking me with the suddenness. I gasped in response, my mind screaming at me that this was finally happening. He didn't let up but took the opportunity to pull my bottom lip into his, nibbling and sucking. It was all I could do to keep up with the dizzying feelings taking over me.

Somehow I had gone from touching his chest to now holding onto Sean's shoulders, and I was vaguely aware that he had maneuvered me into a new position where I was straddling him. Our lips had never left each other, and I never wanted it to end.

Sean was everything I did not know that I needed.

Out of pure instinct, I felt myself press forward into him.

Sean stopped kissing me suddenly and his hand stiffened on my back. The other hand flew to my hip, holding me still. "Don't do that." He said in a pained voice.

I pulled back and blinked at him, but his eyes were closed. "Do what? Did I hurt you?"

"Oh lord," he put his head to mine again. "Please tell me you aren't that innocent."

His meaning became clear and I found myself to be entirely flustered again. I let go of his shoulders, leaned away as far back as he'd let me get with his hand holding me to him, and covered my mouth in embarrassment. "No! I mean... yes. Sort of."

Sean opened his eyes and looked at me with a quizzical expression. "Sort of? What do you mean, sort of? You do know about the birds and the bees, right?" His tone was wary now, and he seemed to be slightly panicked.

Oh. My. God. Did he seriously think he was going to have a sex talk with me?

No, this must not happen. My blood pressure wouldn't allow it.

"Yes!" I hissed the word at him, barely able to make it come out in my extreme humiliation. "I know about sex. I read, you know! I am aware of the mechanics, I know how it works. I mean, well... You are my doctor! I already told you that I'm a virgin! When would I have had a chance to go making out with anyone either?"

"God have mercy. From books." Sean let go of my waist, laid back on the bed and covered his eyes with his arm. "When we are done with these ridiculous games, I'll give you a hands on lesson. How does that sound?"
