Our Journey Begins

Ivangelina and I hop in the car and she starts it up. I stare out the window, drowning in my thoughts.

"You okay?" She asks me.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I answer lying to her.

"No you're not, I know something is wrong."

I turn to look at her and I hesitate to talk.

" I don't know if I can do this," I explain to her in a worried tone.

"This is supposed to be fun, what is there to worry about?" She asks me.

"I just haven't done this before, like being away from home and who knows for how long."

"You're right, it's my first time too, just think of it as a vacation."

I smile and then I remember she embarrassed me today.

"You made me look like an idiot today," I say with a serious look.

"Ah come on, you know I was playing." She laughs.

I ignore her and I get lost in my thoughts again.

How does it feel knowing you're going to be traveling with your crush?

"What are you talking about?" I look at her and ask.

"You've had a crush on him ever since you first watched him, I know you still like him, the way you were acting around him today." She asks smiling and looking at me.
