33 | "This is some James Bond shit"

As Kyle's attacker came closer to Kyle with the knife held to his throat I lifted my arm to punch him and landed the hit, right to his nose.

The man stumbled back and I punched him again.

I winced at the pain in my knuckles but the adrenaline had helped me ignore it and landed punch after punch to his stomach. I had no clue if I was doing it right with the technique or whatever but the attacker didn't fight back so I'd say I was doing at least something right.

I lifted my arm to punch him again but a large hand wrapped around my wrist, stopping me from doing anything.

The attacker I was punching before came back and kicked me in the ribs I struggled to breath as the wind was knocked out of me and then he continued to attack me like I did to him by punching me in the same spot over and over again.

I couldn't feel anything but the pain as the man relentlessly assaulted me.

The guy behind me ran a blade down my arm and I cried out in pain as the blood dripped from the wound,

His hand went around my neck as he pushed me up against the wall, my head hitting the hard surface and another round of pain exploded in the back of my head,

The man's grip tightened and I screwed my eyes shut as I struggled to breath once more, my chest burning without the oxygen in my chest,

"I'll make this quick and easy" he whispered sickly into my ear, "Just like your parents".

My heart stopped,

Whoever these people were, knew me.

Suddenly I didn't feel the hand around my throat any more and I collapsed onto the floor in a coughing fit, my throat was raw and burning like my chest and there was pain all around my torso.

In front of me Noah fought off the guy while Chase held Dylan up who stood next to the door with Liam, Megan and Mia,

They were trying to break down the door.

Kyle was sitting against the cold hard floor groaning while holding his stomach, which was bleeding.

I stood up on my wobbly feet, trying to catch my balance as I used the wall as a guide heading towards Kyle. I offered my hand to him, which he took while using the wall and myself to hoist himself up,

I borrowed some of his weight, putting his arm around my shoulder.

"Thanks" he told me, "I'd probably be dead if it weren't for you",

"Don't mention it" I managed to say as Noah, Kyle and I joined the others at the door.

Liam had managed to kick it down as we left the place, leaving as fast as we could to the cars.

"Drive!" Noah commanded us, "We'll regroup further down the road",

We all hopped into a car, I helped Kyle into Noah's car where it was just we three.

Noah drove off with the rest of the gang following closely behind us,

"He's bleeding out" I told Noah urgently,

Noah cursed loudly, "Put pressure on the wound... This is all my fault I can't believe I brought you guys here"

"We are not playing the blame game right now" I told him sternly, applying pressure to Kyle's wound and he groaned,

After a few minutes of driving further out into the road we stopped and as Noah said, regrouped.

"What are we going to do?" Mia asked,

"There's a hospital nearby, I'm taking Kyle there, the rest of you go home" he instructed,

"No way!" Megan told him, "I'm coming"

"Me too"

"Same"

"We're all coming with you," I told Noah and he sighed,

"Chase, Mia, and Alex, you're going home" Noah relented and I was about to protest when he cut me off, "I've been lenient the whole fucking day do not argue with me on this" he said angrily.

Mia nodded, dragging Chase and I with her,

"They'll be okay," She promised but even I could feel the uncertainty in her voice.
