Just So You Know- 1

(I'll put down all of the werewolf guidelines that will be in the story right here. If something knew comes up, then I'll come back here and add it in.)

1. Mates

A werewolf first gets their mate when they either meet after the male turns 18 or the more dominant of two females turns 18.

A mate can sometimes be identified by sight, but is guaranteed to identified by touch.

2. Marking

In a traditional pair (of male and female) the male marks the female. Two males mark each other, and the more dominant of two females marks the other.

What does a mark do?

It mixes your scent with your mates, and in return no else able to mark them.

What if you mark someone that's not your mate?

It'll do the same thing, but their real mate will still be able to mark them, with or without the previous mates consent. The mark will also not be as strong as a soulmates marking

3. Rank

What are the ranks of the wolf packs?

Alpha, Luna, Beta, Pack Warriors, everyone else really, and the omega/s (some large packs have multiple).

4. Shifting

A wolf can shift the moment they turn 16. It's very painful if they don't have their mate, so most wait until they have met their soulmate to shift (except for an Alpha's son/daughter, they have to shift the day they turn 16 for reasons that will be later explained.)

It's even more unbearable to shift after being rejected, because your wolf is in pain.

5. Wolf Colors

A white wolf isn't that rare, seeing as nearly all arctic wolves are white. But it's very rare if a wolf in the Arctic is all black. A wolf with green eyes, or a short tail is rare, compared to a wolf with a long tail and brown eyes.

5. Scents

Werewolves have glands on their necks, right below their ear and right behind their jaw (I think you get the picture) which is where your mate marks you. They also have ones on their wrists, although they're not as prominent. Also, some people rub the glands, or some can just use them on command (no touching involved) and it makes their scent go into the air so others can you know... Smell it.

Alpha's usually do it without noticing, because it comes to them like second nature.

Also, in states of intense emotion like happiness, sadness, fear, rage, things of that nature, your scent projects that.

(In a lot of kidnapping situations, people would cause the kidnapped person a lot of distress, and then they would swab the gland and just drop it in a bag, and most likely send it to the person's loved one just to freak them out and cause them to pay ransom for the person.)

6. Types of Wolves

I've always wanted to experiment with the types of werewolves out there, like not every wolf is the same type, just like how there are different characteristics for people from different regions. Like a werewolf from Africa could have an African Golden wolf, or someone born in eastern South America could be a Maned Wolf, and even some really old people could be the extinct Hokkaido wolf who went extinct in the late 19th century, because werewolves live for hundreds of years, unlike their more mortal counterparts, aka regular wolves and people.

7. Turning People

Only Alphas and Omegas, surprisingly, can turn people into werewolves. And they can only turn them with the intent of doing so. So no accidental bites could turn someone into a werewolf.

8. Weather

Ya'll I'm a Floridian. I was born in the US. I use farenheight and I'm  too lazy to  convert it to Celsius.

So,,, 0°F is 0% hot. So it's hella cold.

•It snows at 32% hot, which is also hella cold.

•It's hot after 80% hot.

•100% hot or more is 'crack an egg on the sidewalk and let it cook' hot.

•0% hot or less is 'throw boiling water out the window and it'll freeze before it hits the ground' hot.

•65% hot is 'doctors office' hot

•70% hot is your 'average house' hot.

9. Full Moon

The thing where werewolves are only out on the full moon is a myth. They perform most ceremonies during the full moon, because the Moon Goddess' all seeing eye is completely open, or so the legend goes. But yeah, they're in complete control of what their wolves do, although their wolves are more focused on full moons than any other day.

10. Smut

There is none.

If you've actually read to here, good job, you didn't get bored out of your mind. I tried to keep it short and to the point. Kinda... Sorta... Yeah not really.

Also, this will be my first attempt at the most un-clique werewolf book as possible.

But anyway, please comment down below if I missed anything or you're unsure of what I said. I'd be happy to clarify! 😊
