Fantasy has always been my first genre. When I was eleven I wrote my first novel, a fantasy, and after that almost every book I wrote was fantasy. So it's something I love and I know how daunting creating a world can be.

I found this workshop way back when it was being posted day by day on another site and looked it up recently, deciding to do it again. I found that the author allows people to re-produce it and to share it. :) So why not do this as a group exercise? Just for the fun of it?

                                                                 What to expect.

Over thirty days I'll post exercises that will take around 15-30 minutes each, exercises that will not only help you create a world, but to prepare it for your story!

If you'd like to explore a world you've already created, like to create a new one, or give it a go for fun, please comment away and let me know! I'd love to see what everyone is keeping up with, comment on your worlds, be here if you've got something you want to ask or if you need to brainstorm with someone.

I may or may not add my own imput, based off experiance, my own little section about that exercise. So you can listen to me or go with the classic exercise alone!

                                                                 Is this just for Fantasy?

NO! This can be applied to ANY genre. Fantasy will be mine, but it can extend to sci-fi, to fiction, to vampire, werewolf, whatever you like. :) Clearly some chapters aren't important if you're setting it in modern day earth, but you could work on the history of your werewolves, your vampires, anything you like.

Why not do it on your own?

I love interaction and I'll interact with everyone who does it with me. Offer ideas, if you're stuck, answer questions, probably ask questions! It's always fun to do this kind of thing together. :) And this kind of work always helps with writer's block. (At least it does for me.)  So join in no matter what genre you are and have some fun!

                                                                 Any other questions?

Feel free to ask them here or as we go along. :)
