I think that's why I gave her my number. She's actually enjoyable to be around.

Huh...that's the first actually. That I ever gave a girl my number.

All the girls have given me their numbers but I never gave them mine. So...why is Angela so special?

Is she special?

No.

...

No?

Hmm...

I don't know, actually.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Once I get inside my apartment, I throw my bag down on the floor and slip into some sweatpants. I didn't bother putting on a shirt. It was too hot.

I gently kick the door open to my messy bedroom and throw myself on my mattress. I exhale loudly and take in all the beautiful quiet.

Geez...I should really clean up my room.

I glance over at the shut wooden door.

Heh...mom would have ran in here by now. She would yell at me to clean up my mess then tell me how I was a 'lost cause'.

Well, if she was here, that is.

She isn't here, though.

She never will be.

...

Buzz!!

I snap my head towards my phone to see I got a text message. For some reason, a part of my mind automatically put the imagine of Angela. I don't know why.

Maybe it's because I had just given her number.

Yeah, that must be it.

I reach my hand out and grab my buzzing phone. I turn it on and look at the lock screen to see who had messaged me.

It wasn't Angela.

Oh.

Mmhg...why do I feel slightly disappointed?

Whatever.

Since it was only one of my friends, I throw the phone aside and get up from my bed. I walk out the bedroom and head to the kitchen to find something to eat.

I remember buying some cupped noodles a few days ago, so there should be a few more left.

Once the fridge was open, the cool air hits my skin causing tingles and shivers. I bend down and scan around to see that there was indeed a single cup of noodles left. Yes!

I reach my arm inside and grab the untouched container. I shut the fridge door and grab a fork from the counter. I rip the plastic top off and open the flavoring packet dumping it inside the noodles. I throw the packet away then add some water and shove it inside the microwave. I put it for two minutes and let it cook.

The microwave dinged after the two minutes were up. I open the small door and take the steaming hot cup of noodles to the table. I grab a fork from the kitchen and I also grab my phone.

I take a seat down and swirl my fork inside to gather a good amount of steaming ramen and blow on it as much as I can. Then I take a large bite and slurp it down.

Mmm~ Cupped noodles always make things better.

I grab my phone and switch it on to see some messages from random girls. I say random because they just gave me their numbers, even though I really don't have a clue who they are. I only accepted them because I didn't want to come off rude.

Screw that! I couldn't saved so much space on here if I just knew how to decline.

An idiot I am.

I continue to gobble down my ramen noodles with a bored mind. What's there to do?

Homework: Done.

Hangout with 'friends': Don't want too.

Text people: No one to talk too.

Then, that's where it hit me. Angela! I could text Angela.

I drop down my cup of goodness and run to my bedroom searching for the slip of paper she gave me.

Holy...why am I so excited about texting a girl?

What am I? Eight?

I walk over to my jeans that were laying on the ground. I find the back pocket and take the paper out. I unfold the paper and run back to the kitchen. I sit down and grab my phone to enter a new contact. I start to write down the number with my shaking fingers.

W-Woah. I guess I really am excited to text her. This is a really strange and...nice feeling. I still don't see why I am so thrilled, though. She's just a girl.

But a special one.

I t-think.

Once I punch in the last digit I go down to the 'Send Message' bar and start to type.

What do I say?

"Hey! It's Harley." I type in and click send. I watch as the sending bar slowly reaches the end of the screen, showing that the text went through.

Now, we wait.

I put my phone down and finish my noodles, then throw the box away. I plop my butt back down on the chair and stare at my phone.

Tapping my fingers against the table, I wait.

Then suddenly, my heart raised up from happiness when I hear a soft 'ding!'

Huh! I guess it didn't take that long.

I grab my phone to see Angela had messaged back.

Angela: "Hello, Harley!"

I couldn't help but smile. "How are you?"

The small little animated bubble pops up showing that she was replying.

"I'm good. Hbu?"

"I'm alright."

"That's good!"

Crap. What do I send now?

"What are you up too?" Hope that doesn't sound too creepy.

There was a small pause.

"Nothing really, I'm just bored. What about you?"

I chuckle. "I feel the same, actually." I type.

Angela sends an 'lol' in reply.

Hmm...what next?

Oh! Maybe I can ask if she wants to study at the library for our la/lit project!

"Hey Angela, do you maybe wanna work on our la/lit project at the school library?"

I bite my lower lip. Nervous habit.

"That sounds great! I think that could really help me get a good grade."

I smile happily. "Cool! I'll see you tomorrow, Kay?"

"Kay!"

My cheeks slightly burn a bit red. I bite my lip harder.

God, Harley, get a grip on yourself!

Stop getting so exciting for a stupid library hangout.

If only it was that easy.
