chapter three

"OOOOHHHIIIOOOO" I heard voices scream into my ear. Soon after I felt people jumping on my bed

"Good morning Maddie!!!" Jake screamed causing me to put the covers over my head

"It's your first official day in Cali get yo ass up" Chance said pulling the covers away from me

"You guys are so annoying" I said covering my face with my hands

"Yooo she's wearing that merch!!" Jake said zooming into my shirt with his vlog camera.

I uncovered my face to see Chance laying next to me and Anthony laying at the head of the bed while Jake talks to his camera more

"Is it like this every morning?" I asked

"Yeah you'll get used to it" Anthony said

I leaned over and pulled the covers back over me. Instead of laying back down I just sat up against the headboard.

"Is there anything you wanted to do today?" Chance asked

"Um no not really, I just need to unpack all of my stuff"

"I think Jake wanted to bring you out to dinner tonight to celebrate the whole college thing" Anthony brought up

"You guys are coming too right?"

"Do you want us to?" Chance asked

"Yeah of course I want everyone to and it'll be a good way to get to know everyone" I responded

"Want everyone to what?" Jake asked coming in

"Come out to dinner tonight if we go"

"Oh yeah I was just about to go tell everyone about it now"

"I need to shower" I said getting up from my bed

I take the towels that were left on my dresser in the bathroom along with all of the other things I needed. Chance and Anthony were still on my bed talking when I came in here so I didn't even bother to tell them to leave. I'm sure they'll be gone by the time I get out though. I put my shower playlist on shuffle and turned on the water. While it was getting to the right temperature I brushed my teeth. Taking a shower with music playing is the best thing. I don't know how anyone could ever take one in silence.

After my shower I put my hair in a little turban thing then wrapped a towel around my body. When I walked out Chance and Anthony weren't there thankfully. I closed my bedroom door and locked it just to make sure that no one walks in on me.

I put on a pair of jean shorts with a tight tank top that showed just a little big of my stomach. I brushed my hair out, put in a little bit of makeup then went downstairs.

When I got downstairs I saw Jake running around chasing Nick with a taser which is something I don't see everyday. I got around that trying not to get involved with whatever was going on. Once I got in the kitchen I recognized someone that I wasn't introduced to last night. I think his name was Kade

"Hey you're Kade right?" I asked

He turned his attention to me giving me a confused look "Yeah that's me" he said trying to be as friendly as possible. Maybe he thought I was a fan that just snuck in

"I'm Madison, I'm Jake's best friend from back home" I said sticking my hand out

"Oh right right he mentioned to me you were coming. Sorry about that" he laughed shaking my hand

"It's no problem, I would've probably reacted the same way.... Can I just ask why Jake is chasing Nick with a taser?"

"He does that a lot. There's usually no reason for it besides just annoying him" he laughed "But I'm sure you'll get used to the craziness that goes on here soon"

"I won't be surprised if you become apart of the craziness" Tessa said walking into the kitchen "Jake's mentioned some insane pranks you pulled on him"

"Oh he told you about that huh?" I asked thinking back to the memories

"Like what?" Kade asked

"Well there was this one point when Jake and I would constantly prank each other back and forth-"

"Prank wars?" Kade asked

"Exactly and I put icey hot in his underwear"

"Wait didn't he do that to Logan?" Tessa asked

"Where do you think he got the idea from?"

"Damn Maddie is a savage" Kade said giving me a high five causing me to laugh

"That's dope" Tessa laughed along

"Well I have to go unpack" I sighed

"Have fun" Kade said sarcastically

I made my way upstairs and into my room starring at the messy clothes in my suitcase. Once again I put on my music and started sorting out my clothes. Once everything was sorted I folded them and started putting in my drawers

"Maddie's bumpin" I hear Anthony say in the hall

I looked over at my door and see him and Jake standing in the door way bobbing their head to the beat. Jake of course had his camera on him recording the whole thing. They came in now dancing as I just watched them. Jake set his camera down so they could dance in front of it. They started dabbing and hitting the folks as the beat would drop.

While they have they're little dance party I decided to just continue to put my clothes away. That was until I was dragged into it. Anthony took my hands and started making me dab and all sorts of things. I looked like a rag doll. But I couldn't help but laugh at it. I got up and started doing it myself surprising him. Jake took the camera in his hands and every time I would hit the folks he would shake the camera

After awhile I could just feel Anthony watching me as he was dancing along. But just knowing he was watching made me all nervous and self conscious that I stopped.

"That was so lit" Anthony said excitedly "I think I found my new dance partner"

"What" Jake said pretending to get emotional

"Sorry man but this babe has the moves" Anthony said while putting his arm around my shoulders

I couldn't help but smile as he called me babe

"I can't believe this" Jake said starting to pretend to cry. He then dramatically walked out of the room

"No Jakey I'm sorry" Anthony joked running after him

I laughed at their actions and continued with my clothes
